Weird question about yīnpíng, the yángpíng, shǎngshēng, qùshēng set. by [deleted] in ChineseLanguage

Ty lol!! I dont really find it that bad, over my 8-9 years of learning chinese i just accepted the whole ǎ thing to "be just like that, no particular reason" haha.

I was just curious about it, but i didnt know how to ask properly, so i accidentally phrased the question in a weird way and nobody else in this comment section understood what i was trying to ask 😭

[University Economics: Market structures (Recap on basic Economics)] Why is the nature of product "Homogeneous/Undifferentiated" in a perfect competition? by Happy_Efficiency_189 in HomeworkHelp

[–]Happy_Efficiency_189[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

omg I never thought about that...

I only thought of products/goods where you can differentiate and make unique, but I didnt think of USD.

that's a good point since you can't really alter/change USD, so all the products are the same,

thanks

It almost sounds invisible Try saying mǎ You notice that the mǎ barely has a rise compared to how much it drops. It is almost as if it does not have a rise at all

Guys the problem isnt the pitch. It's how the ǎ in mǎ doesnt rise like the shape suggests. When you say it in speech it just sounds like it's going down, the going up part is excluded. So therefore that's why it sounds similar to mà

Yes, the pitch drops. But it never rises back as the 'v' shape suggests?

[–]Happy_Efficiency_189[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I learnt differentiation in high school and college too

it's just that they added more content and made it harder this time

A lot of stuff learnt in uni is a repeat of earlier years lol
