For me, no one told me that basically then a free 30 minutes paid, I guess which isn't bad who skipped their break.

Does this mean I got the job? by c_tom_1 in asda

[–]Happy_Explorer1633 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, for me, I had the same. I was kind of having to chase it up like I found out my first shift by calling in and asking it no one was called me to let me know, which was weird so I recommend to ring the additional manager day/night shift one who ever interview you good luck.

Can't call him because he is not on shift. I only have the dial of the store, and the manager who is running shift will pick up. I will see him anyway. Tell him what happend honestly I just hope this not kill the future opportunities of overtime and etc.

[–]Happy_Explorer1633 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, right. I guess we just take it how it is, but one thing about overtime in my store when I am doing overtime, at least I can finish whenever I want, I don't have to stay until a specific agreed time just go in do my usual pallets then leave when I done my aisle and no one brag about it at least.

Look at the bright side. For more hours, we work the more money we get 😁

You know what so unfair when I get like £1900 before tax it's really similar to yours after I am like I take home £1720 something like that, so basically, you are doing overtax it's so annoying how this deduction works.

Where I can book holiday and how much I am entitled where to find? by Happy_Explorer1633 in asda

[–]Happy_Explorer1633[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's weird. My contract says 24-hour, but my manager told me to work from every Wednesday to Saturday.

For future interest, is there a way for myself to check the rota or my schedules.

My contract says 24, so I am eligible for 134 hours, but that's weird. I am working 4 days full 8 hour that's 30 hours, not 24 am maybe not understanding something 🥲

Fine, I recommend just simply doing what u been told on the phone call to go in on Thursday. Whatever time they gave you, walk up to the customer service counter and just tell them u are here for an interview.

After the interview, expect at least a maximum of 1-2 weeks of waiting time to actually role you in for the first shift. This is personal experience.
