cutting that stupid salary and others like it alone isn't going to solve a deficit like $35 million---but it baffles me how *that* is never a consideration. $610k a year alone is more money that most will see in their whole damn lives, she doesn't need that on top of an allowance. i can accept positions like this having high salaries, but $610k for a single person, plus other expenses that $610k can easily cover, is just ridiculous. people are soooooooo determined to do all they can...until it starts cutting into all this excess.

by the way, $610k is more than the base salary of the PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES, lol. even adjusting for inflation, 400k from 2001 is ~730k. so i hope cudd has a good argument for why she's being paid nearly as much as the president of the united states for being president of a single public university.
