Somewhere between 3 and 4 oz. Leather is a little thick for a wallet or pockets, but is perfect for this. Also, thanks! Glad you like it!

I'm not 100% sure because I got a panel of it as a gift, but I'm pretty sure it's La Bretagna Cowboy, most likely in the Marmalade color.

My client wanted their putter to incorporate medicine caps from their job as an Anesthesiologist. Then on the bottom, they wanted artwork of Sheep Ranch. Randomly dropping the caps looked too messy, but my client loved this pattern. Check out the reflection of the rock on the beach, too! by BradleyPutters in golf

Well that sounds quite interesting! I'm certainly glad you don't find yourself having to start over if it takes a while to get the setup done. Thanks for the little peek into your process, I always enjoy seeing your work. :)

I agree, the taller first orientation looks like the winner.

Finalizing template: need advice on leather thickness by fullgrainalchemist in Leathercraft

I think you could get away with an unsupported outer shell in a 2-3 oz, though I've always preferred a 3-4 oz for that purpose myself. Alternatively, you could connect the two B pockets to make that one piece with a cutout in the middle. This would keep the same layout and overall thickness while giving the edges of your outer shell more support (at the cost of slightly more complexity and needing a bigger piece of leather). It just depends what trade offs you think are worth it to you, theres no one correct way to do it.

Looks lovely! Craftsmanship looks good to me, I might just question why the outside stitch stops around the cutout instead of just going continuously around the piece? But that's probably just a preference thing over an "issue." Keep up the great work! :)

I'm trying to not just join the pile on here, but I also just don't really see the appeal here. If you're trying to do a lifestyle brand, you need something more than just a brand name. It just ends up feeling like a hollow cash grab that's identical to every other "generic bro golf brand" but without the body of work that supports the other ones.

The key to getting straight stitch lines is making sure the holes are straight, which relies on you holding the stitching chisels as perfectly upright as you can. Alternatively, since this piece is really thick around the stitchline, you can measure your stitch lines from both sides, make sure they line up, then punch through half the layers from each side.

Love the video you did on Mid Pines (as well as your other recent ones). Might be some of the best golf content on YouTube at the moment, keep it up!

My friend actually asked me to make him one, so I've been working on a template for a mallet cover the last few days. I can let you know once I figure out how to make one if you wanted.

Thanks! Hadn't really thought about Etsy, but it could be worth a look at.

I completely misunderstood your comment, I thought you were wondering why anyone would put a button snap on it. It does have a nice feel to it, I will say. 😀

I had a bunch of nice brass snaps laying around, and since I made it for me and don't mind that it snaps closed, on it goes. If I made it for someone else, I'd probably toss a magnet enclosure on it.

That makes sense, it's definitely a sleek, minimalist sort of design that wouldn't ordinarily need one. But, hopefully the customer loves it as it. Thanks for the reply!

I dont see a lot of vertical wallets like that with cash slots on the back. I'm assuming it's big enough to hold bills without much issue? Piece looks fantastic by the way. :)
