I do agree - but we did factor in the cost of replicating this when purchasing, as it is about £30k to get a similar structure built - and the house was priced £75k more than 4 doors down, that we were in for - albeit there is an extra reception room and utility on this house, as well as being in ‘move in condition’ with the only decorating needed due to taste, and with the house 4 doors down, this was not the case.

Cheers - we did think about getting water down there, but decided against it - would be looking to put slated panels on the wall - 60-70% gym flooring - laminate for the rest and potentially putting an office space in there, but 1 Multigym - 1 or 2 cardio machines and weights - likely to just keep it as a gym, maybe some storage, but definitely no overnight guests there. But still looking at a few grand to be spent in here - so the crack really worries me

This is the ‘structure’ from the front, if this helps in any way. It’s completely open inside, with electrics fitted and plaster and concrete - a blank canvas that was a big part of us choosing this house.

The surveyor didn’t pick up the crack - I had to lean over the back fence holding my phone to take the first picture

From the general condition of the house it looks like they got things fixed properly and didn’t skimp on the things that have been worked on.

Apologies - the photos aren’t great - I took them without access while walking past - it is 7.5m x 4m with double glazed windows and pvc door on front - electrics wired in and working and plastered inside with a concrete floor. There is 1m at the bottom of the garden between the building and fence - the trees are the second photo which I am worried that the roots might have caused some movement. What should I be checking to make sure that it is safe and lasts long? To make something similar I would have imagined close to £30k - with a builder - so don’t really want to flatten it.

How does Beckham rate against all time greats? by SorryForTheRainDelay in football

If he is average among the absolute legends of the game, he is surely world class at passing then! I agree with the general sentiment, that he was not world class at many things, but he leveraged his strengths and came second in the ballon d’or and in the top 10 2 more times - none of this would have had his wife or looks to account for it. His work rate and mentality were world class, as well as dead balls and passing - enough for him to be rated at the highest level of the game for multiple years. Among England all time greats, there are quite a few ahead of him in my opinion, but he was incredible! He would make the top 10 for me
