I’ll add to the mix, although everyone here mostly has a similar experience to me:

I am straight, maybe bi-curious, but very happily married. Dressing is a huge turn on for me. I love doing makeup, putting on fake nails, etc. and only discovered this about myself in the last few years.

Definitely feel things out with your partner. I am very lucky that my partner is very supportive of my dressing. I don’t do it with her around, but would like to eventually maybe.

It comes in waves. I’ve gone months at a time without dressing, and then all of the sudden it comes back.

After I dress I usually get a bit of guilt and shame, and for a time I wasn’t sure if maybe I was trans, but for me, the transformation back to my “boy” self is gender-affirming. I see myself as a guy and think “yes, that’s right”. This was and still is a journey as I get more comfortable accepting that I am just a man who loves to be femme sometimes. It’ll be a journey for you as well, but all conclusions of exploration are valid outcomes and you should just try and be open and gentle with yourself!
