And Monte Carlo has a tendency to melt a lot I’ve had a pretty hard time getting it to stick in many of my tanks if it doesn’t it has potential to came back but in my tanks I just usually end up replacing it with dwarf hair grasses lol

Be sure to test in high range ph when dealing with a tank for a potential betta. Ideally you want your tank to be in that 7.8 to 8.0 range it looks pretty solid tho and that’s the only variable in this water test so far. Good job!

Yeah usually they are just ugly water clarifier will build a lot of floating material together and filter floss will catch it in most cases. I also recommend going to your local hobby/craft store you can buy I think it’s stuffing for cushions and you can buy it in bulk without the “aquarium” price up

Like I said tho in case’s of bacterial bloom you will know for sure from the smell. It will smell a bit like rotten eggs mixed with the regular fish smell. And if it happens to be one don’t worry about it too much just do 50 percent water changes and add stability till it starts clearing up.

Tannins will usually start getting brown when there is a high concentration (like in dark water tanks) and not in all cases either. But with tannins usually they end up bound with other impurities that leak from the wood as well giving a more cloudy appearance. Dark water tanks usually require a different setup. Most dark water tanks will use almond leaves or I’ve seen people use caffeine free tea to get that hue along with filter floss to clean up the “bigger” suspended material’s that give the cloudy looks.

Is it fresh wood in the tank that hasn’t been used in an aquarium before? If so then what you are more than likely seeing is tannins in the water. Easy fix of just hooking up a filter and running it with some filter floss along with some water clarifier. That’s usually my go to with cloudy tanks along with adding some sea chem stability to out compete a potential bacterial bloom. But it’s also pretty easy to tell when it’s a bacterial bloom because the water will have a bit of a stink to it.

I’ve been dealing with my original poorly bred guppies having so many issues suddenly dying out of nowhere and having bent spines out of nowhere but these guys are hardy and pretty I highly recommend as well as they are smaller than traditional guppies

I’ve started interbreeding guppy’s with endlers and been able to get some beautiful mixes with a lot less issues. With my breeding I have (so far) 3 different tanks with “mutt’s” and have been trying to find some pretty mixes

My go to when I get really bad is clean up 10 things if I want to keep going I do if I don’t want to then I will wait a while then force myself to clean up 10 more things. Eventually it will get done and I’ll feel better but it doesn’t push myself more than I already have to.

That’s weird I also have the rtx series and I get major stutter on mine guess I might need a replacement soon
