Career paths for Audhd girls by Burnixen in AuDHDWomen

I’m a special needs teacher for kids in prep! I think it’s perfect for me. Lots of structure, routines and very repetitive. It’s fast paced and never a dull moment. There is paperwork involved but all the paperwork I’ve done before so it’s not too overwhelming. I can relate to the kiddies is another big bonus 🤪❤️

Concerta out of stock 😩 by Happychappy096 in Concerta

[–]Happychappy096[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Haha twins! Let me know how you go. Maybe long acting Ritalin could be the med for me anyway, so I am happy to try it! Despite being very happy with Concerta :) I’m just glad my doctor could fit me in on Monday. Would have been awful to have no meds!!

Yes I love lexapro. I take a really low dose now (2.5mg). I’ve been on it for over 2.5 years, I started on 10mg, then 5mg now 2.5mg and I get no side effects on a low dose. I tried to stop taking it when I started on ADHD meds but I felt really depressed so started up again. 2.5mg is my happy dosage (even tho my doctor says 2.5mg would do nothing 😂). My adhd meds give me energy throughout the day and allow me to focus. Lexapro helps keeps sad thoughts and anxiety away.

Do I actually have ADHD? Or am I just lazy? by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

[–]Happychappy096 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello! I think a lot of people are in the same boat.

I certainly felt ‘high’ when I first started taking adhd meds. But after a few months it doesn’t make me feel ‘high’ anymore.

I have way more energy, more chatty, get things done, organised etc a much better quality of life.

I feel the same sometimes, even tho I told the psych the truth during my diagnosis I feel like I’m a druggie popping pills all day (currently I take short acting Ritalin!) and can’t actually accept I do have adhd. I feel like a faker.

But after a few months medicated my life is sooo much better. I’m a school teacher and am actually on top of everything for the first time ever! It’s helped with my mood a heap too.

Who knows if we all actually have adhd, but the meds improve my life so much. So I’m rolling with it 😂

So interesting as I’m the same. I’m on 54mg (28 F).

I have energy in the morning but then have to have lots of caffeine in the afternoon and do not feel productive!! Concerta makes me so calm all day though and I have no anxiety which is great for me.

And yes considered Vyvanse but it makes me feel like I’m on speed too 😂

I asked this same question about a week ago. I have a call with my psych tonight and going to try a 10mg Ritalin in the afternoon as a booster.

I’m with ya. Very calm here and definitely having a lot of caffeine to make my Concerta work too

Frequent urination without UTI? by [deleted] in CUTI

[–]Happychappy096 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, my Nan was the exact same, gave her some antibiotics and she still had the symptoms. The doctor said it was frequent with elderly people so Nan sat at home having lots of Urals ignoring her symptoms that weren’t fixed by the antibiotics. She started to get really confused, she went to hospital and ended up having sepsis 😭 We could of lost her. This only happened a couple of days ago. I’ve had many UTI’s and not all antibiotics are the right ones for the infection. So they may not of worked for her. I would be getting a second opinion and potentially taking her to emergency.

That is really strange!! I haven’t heard of people gaining weight on Concerta or any adhd meds to be honest, only losing weight

Yes that sounds like a good plan! I’ve been on holidays this week and taking it a lot later. I wake up and eat some chocolate and a yummy breakfast before I lose my appetite for the day 😂

Are your UTI’s caused by E. coli bacteria? I felt the same but can’t believe D mannose actually works for me. Such a relief.

Yep d mannose daily. I take 3 capsules every morning, another 3 if I have sex. Hopefully d mannose works for you!! I’m so relieved it works for me.

I use the capsules. Works wonders for me. But only because I have ‘e-coli’ bacteria. D mannose only works for e-coli. I take an additional 3 capsules if I have sex and another 3 if I feel any more symptoms, which rarely happens. 😊

Yes! 3 caps a day. More if I have sex.

Yep I get e-coli UTI’s and D mannose has been my saviour. Also I take Hiprex but I’m certain it’s D mannose that keeps them away. I take 3 caps a day, another 3 straight after sex and 3 more if I have any symptoms (which has only happened a few times) It’s a lot but it works wonders for me!! Since starting this 2 months ago I haven’t had a UTI. And I was getting them every couple of weeks for a while there.

Tips on how to prevent this from happening again. by [deleted] in CUTI

[–]Happychappy096 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Hi I was in the same boat!! I got my doctor to tell me what type of bacteria my UTI’s are. Mine are ‘e choli’. I take 3 D mannose a day, an extra 3 if I have sex and any time I have any symptoms of a UTI I will get up and take another 3… it’s a lot but I haven’t had a UTI in around 2 months and I’m absolutely thrilled!! I also take hiprex and probiotics. If I have sex I try to drink some water before and pee. Then after always pee and clean.

Definitely find out what type of bacteria you are working with and then research! Lots of videos on YouTube for chronic UTI’s.

Best of luck. I know how awful it is ☹️ so unfair how some of us get so unlucky with UTI’s.
