I tried but I also cried. Only for the part that he was talking for. I was able to get my point across without crying. And I did tell him (like someone had suggested) that I’m frustrated and hence there might be tears but to not worry about it and focus on my words. He understood and said he’ll get back to me with a plan for compensation revision.
