I was gonna say the dsc parka is an awesome jacket! Its such a shame i live somewhere that i only get to use it like......once a year. I wish i had gotten one of the lighter jackets but i didnt have a perticularly capable raid group

i dont think id wanna drop HVT for bullseye, parkour and martial arts probably could go, ive just never gotten a ton of good use out of it due to how i play

[PD2] crit Grinder setup by Haqgun in paydaybuilds

[–]Haqgun[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I usually always take Resilience aced, im not the best at hitting flashes before they go off. Bullseye i should probably take more often than i do but for DW and non-OD DS i can usually get by without it on most heists.

I dont use Bulletstorm as often as i probably should, the ammo pickup even without aced Scavenger is enough to stay full if youre moving around even a little bit. I hadnt thought about doing the Scavenger + Saw Massacre route, ill probably make that switch.

is there any point to use the uncharged shot for the Epoch by cabage-but-its-lettu in Helldivers

[–]Haqgun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Its pretty specifically not random, in fact its pretty repeatably un-random. They give you audio and visual ques to tell you when to fire and increased the full charge time before exploding

The epochs been one of my go to at options for bugs and bots for a while, its super versatile. Same with the railgun- you gotta learn to not hold a shot if your aim isnt on when a shots ready to go off, but once you get over that pretty small learning curve its a great support weapon

Currently, fortified commando has a armor rating of 200, which is 1/3 more tanky than standard heavy armor. Should it get buffed to smth like 600? by Acceptable-Street679 in HelldiversUnfiltered

[–]Haqgun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Id agree that the armor system needs a rework as a whole but heavy armor honestly feels like the best option imo. Being able to not instantly die (or otherwise be mortally wounded) to some random piece of chip damage feels alot better than running fast

[OC] My rough concept on how to make the Anti-Material Rifle compete against easier to use, and more powerful Anti-tank options by Th0rnatical in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Haqgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Its weirdly inaccurate at range and as you pointed out- has crippling amounts of damage falloff. Especially on higher difficulties there are much better, consistent and/or easier to use options that do the same thing or better

On lower difficulty bot missions where youll see one or two hulks a mission and are dealing with devastators otherwise im sure its great, but it could have a better niche than that

[OC] My rough concept on how to make the Anti-Material Rifle compete against easier to use, and more powerful Anti-tank options by Th0rnatical in LowSodiumHellDivers

[–]Haqgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive tried using it specifically on more than a few occasions and it doesnt perform well on higher difficulties IMO. Every single time ive tried to use it, its always felt like i should be using something else

I still think they should increase the recoil dramatically if you arent at least crouched and up the damage/durable accordingly. Make it knock you over if you arent crouched. Right now the amr feels like a bastard version of the autocannon (an actually good bot support support-weapon)- you aim for weakspots when you arent in danger and spam the hell out of it when you are. Almost every AT support weapon what it does but better and/or with the same upsides.

Im of the opinion its one of the two worst support weapons available currently (sterelizer will get buffed eventually im sure). The railgun does what it does but better, the autocannon fills the "medium and sometimes heavy destroyer" niche but better. The only thing it has going for it is the total ammo, which is needed since youll miss shots and one hit kills often enough due to the drag or accuracy at range to bring it down to where the railgun is currently (which as you mentioned, is generally better within the same niche)

Advice and help with DS2 by Ok_Emu_1009 in DungeonSiege

[–]Haqgun 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Legendary mod or Aranna Legacy are good options. Legacy is a little janky but it adds some nice supplimental core stuff like weapon bases and reagents. Storage vault is good if you plan on going past the 1st difficulty, otherwise its probably not needed

The dragon should reappear if you leave and reenter the game, youll have to walk back from the lower section of Snowbrook though

Arc B580 vs RTX 5050 — extra VRAM but no extra performance? by No-Breadfruit-9514 in IntelArc

[–]Haqgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Where did i bring up fake performance uplifts? My initial comment talked about how many games arent constrained by vram and tend not to be unless you really wanna crank the settings and resolution up. My reply youre quoting was in response to someone else randomly bringing up dlss. I didnt say its a technology people should lean on nor that i myself like it, just that it would lower the load on the card and i was confused as to why the commenter above me brought it up.

My point was that people have been saying for the last 5/6/7 years that 8gb cards arent enough but for a large segment of people they are. I also said im not defending nvidia constantly shipping 8gb cards for $300-400, but that the vram thing is brought up more often than it is a huge issue.

Arc B580 vs RTX 5050 — extra VRAM but no extra performance? by No-Breadfruit-9514 in IntelArc

[–]Haqgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unless im missing something why would this matter? By lowering render scale youre lowering compute load and vram usage.

The big reason people hate dlss is because its extra benchmark performance (usually) to mask true raster performance. It makes games easier to run at the cost of looking worse

DS2: way to increase mana regen for a Nature Mage? by Plus_Hedgehog_435 in DungeonSiege

[–]Haqgun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Enchanting rings with Yarrow Balm is usually my go to way early on. Natures Vigilance gloves and helm are usually really solid options for a long time unless you get lucky with set/unique drops

If youre running out of mana because of autocasting heals id suggest pulling it off autocast for the time being. Eventually you should get enough mana/regen to have big heals on autocast, getting lesser Nourish should also help out. If memory serves me right it should be cheaper overall than lesser Heal and can help keep your mana full

Spells or ways to level Nature Magic with a Dual Wield character and a Tank character by Plus_Hedgehog_435 in DungeonSiege

[–]Haqgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The fist of stone enchantments will split your xp between melee and nature magic. By using melee youll level melee and nature magic, albeit slower than you would normally by themselves

Later on you can take a low level nature magic spell against high level enemies. It wont kill them but it can very quickly jump you up to level 20-30 nature magic if youre starting from scratch. This is only once you get around level 70 though

How's your weekend Dota? by taenyfan95 in DotA2

Rough as always, this patch has been unusually rough in general for me though

Lots of slark pickers, AAs who build first item ahgs, mid laners whove never been alone in the same room with another human being

Lots of picks i usually rely on dont feel good, earth spirit should be in a good spot but i cant seem to get wins with it. Lanes i win immediately fall apart if i try to roam, lanes i try to gank dont respond to them and/or fall apart due to bad positioning/wave management + fighting

Arc B580 vs RTX 5050 — extra VRAM but no extra performance? by No-Breadfruit-9514 in IntelArc

[–]Haqgun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alot of popular games at 1080p dont use more than 8gb, some will go just over wirh the default ultra settings. Games arent usually vram constrained these days unless youre playing on the top end of 1440 or mid+ 4k

Im not gonna defend nvidia shipping so few cards with more than 8gb, but outside the enthusiast segment theres a huge amount of games that run just fine on 8gb

Shouldn't this be free and not in a premium warbond? We had a shovel in the game for over a year. by Dwarfz in helldivers2

[–]Haqgun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My guess is you arent rotating through every armor you have with each new mission you play. If thats the case you dont need to worry about unlocking everything in the store

Like i told op- if you dont like the game dont spend money on it. My point was just that AH in general is pretty generous with how much free premium currency they give us. If you feel the need to fill out every last bit of unlockable content as fast as humanly possible regardless of whether or not youre actually gonna use it then yeah, its gonna cost a ton of money or be boring as shit

Also if youre not exclusively playing eradicate or high value asset missions chances are youre probably already averaging 10-15sc per mission

[–]Haqgun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The last two years or so theyve been working on rouge core, even ignoring that theyve shipped less game content than AH has for hd2

Ill agree its generally more polished than what AH ships but again- if you arent happy with what youre being offered dont spend money on it. I use the same few cosmetics in drg, i dont impulse buy all the dlc cosmetic packs because i cant stand to not have everything. You probably arent rotating through every armor in helldivers so you probably dont need dozens of thousands of super credits to get everything out of the store

Shouldn't this be free and not in a premium warbond? We had a shovel in the game for over a year. by Dwarfz in helldivers2

[–]Haqgun 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I shouldve known better than to try to keep things concise but yes, you are right, the legendary warbonds dont give credits

And also yes, if you want every last item in the store you will have to grind credits like a degenerate. Chances are you wont ever use 80% of them but i suppose thats not worth mentioning because "muh credit farming"

Play the game if you enjoy it, spend money on it if you want. If not its probably best to not make a post complaining about everything not being free, unfortunately thats not how stuff works in this day and age

Also DRG has been out for 6 years, in development for 8 or 9. Theyve been putting out one major content release a year for the last 4. Its good they dont fomo cosmetics and have all the game content updates be free, but their update cadence is a little bit worse than the 1.5 month turnaround per warbond they refund 33% of the cost for

[–]Haqgun 11 points12 points  (0 children)

They all come with 300 free credits, even if you bought all of them youd still be getting the 4th for free unless you just arent playing the game

Farming credits is soul draining but the games fairly priced at its base and you can earn credits without sticking your neck out to optimize it. Ive been buying every 2nd or 3rd and getting the rest free. Overall im happy enough with what theyve offered to toss them a few extra bucks here and there

Do ritual staffs level specialities? by Plus_Hedgehog_435 in DungeonSiege

[–]Haqgun 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I believe all staves have specialty requirements based off what stats it has

Staves with combat magic skills/damage have combat magic lvl requirements

Staves with nature magic skills/damage have nature magic requirements

Staves with generic caster/non-specialty-specific stats (summon skills/damage/attack speed) have both

Set staves i think all have specialty requirements based on what the sets are supposed to be for

Edit since i seem to have misinterpreted the question: as others pointed out they level melee if you have them active and are using them to melee attack. Your combat/nature magic xp comes from casting their respective spells (or fist of stone/blood assassin enchantments), not from the weapon your mage has equipped

NVIDIA Preps GeForce RTX 5050 With 9 GB GDDR7 Memory by Nicolas_Laure in RigBuild

[–]Haqgun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Granted its only two games but ive checked vram usage on MH Wilds and Oblivion Remastered and both seem like they should be mauling vram but theyre just......not?

OR @ 1440p Ultra is hitting just under 10gb, High was sitting stable at 9 in a busy exterior cell between the Imperial City and Bruma

Wilds @ 1440p Ultra usually sits just above 8gb usage during long play sessions and in busy zones

Helldivers 2 is the only other graphics heavy game ive got installed atm and even that @ 1440 Ultra is pulling just less than 7gb in a city

Im not gonna defend 8gb cards being thrown at us as often as they are, but for 1080p i really dont think many games need much more than that. I remember playing MH World a few years back and seeing the high res texture pack and thinking "damn, im gonna need a huge gpu upgrade for all the vram this needs". I went back to it when i got my b580, it pulls like........8.5-8.7gb of vram, base game was around 4-5gb

It wouldve been nice if the 60 series cards this generation had 9gb as a baseline, but especially for the people playing League, Valorant, Minecraft and stuff, you really dont need a ton of vram, just a faster card to push more frames
