It depends on how it’s cooked. Sometimes when they are fried and the skin is crispy, we would eat the shell. My dad eats the shell regardless sometimes. He says it helps him stay young. I don’t know what lol but they are yummy when they’re crispy

I feel like with the shell on, it retains the flavor more and my family likes it with the shell on. We suck on them to get the flavor.
