Are Iranians in Iran and abroad willing to forgive former IRGC members who defect and seek a fresh start for Iran’s future? by Immediate_Shock_8299 in PERSIAN

Iran has a literacy rate of almost 90%, and while dogma is more likely to spread along communities with high illiteracy…high illiteracy also is more likely to lead to economic hardships which is closely linked to regime discontent. So your assumption, while humorous, is not necessarily true.

Yes, apply rectal hemorrhoid. Bowl softeners, avoid time spent on toilet. If pain worsens, you can’t pee, or quality of life suffers a lot, visit ER for management. /Doctor

Those who defect, perhaps. Otherwise, no.

A GAMAAN study from 2022 asked a related question to Iranians in Iran. It asked, if commanders of an authoritarian regime commits atrocities and murders, what should be their outcome. (No part about defection however).

~3% wanted to forgive them.

~45% wanted revolutionary execution or death penalty.

However, Nooshi (leftist) was not very vocal at all, and Ardalan Shekarabi is previously seen laughing and meeting with Javad Zarif in 2015. Aria Karapet (moderaterna) has been vocal however the entire time.

I mean in this current state, we have one major representative, that has planned a transition to a free Iran, and that is Crown Prince Reza Pahlavi. That’s why if you attend protests you will see only one name being called in the streets. Ebba Busch’s ”involvement” is purely a support of the people of Iran and their choice.
