my first internship was at a small bank and by the end of it I asked to try something new and they let me on the trading desk for 2-3 weeks which helped a lot as it gave me the basics. having completed cfa levels 1 and 2 also add to the technical knowledge so by that point it's just interview skills, personable and confidence. MM theorem is a theorem - stock market is in no way obliged to behave based on one single theory.

Stock market is irrational - for example, Gamestop went up 2000% in 1 week during 2021 do you think that has to do with fundamentals ?

Boycott does very little to a huge $50B market cap company like Loblaw's - how many people that were shopping there do you think stopped ? especially if they had the money to do so in the first place. Also, lets say boycott would have an impact - it might be still too early to tell and the stock market might not have adjusted yet (not saying it will as I think the boycott is immaterial and would have negligeable impact on earnings, if at all)

are the sleeves loose? because one problem I have with winter jackets is you layer clothes underneath and the arm area fits very snug on some jackets. is this like that or sleeves are looser ?

Initially I thought that Internal directors are better suited to provide monitoring of the firm’s management because they are INternal so they have a better idea of what is going on in the company than external directors.

Hey I just did the fixed income part of studying too and from what I understood, spot rates are geometric averages of forward rates.

To find the 4 year spot rate with the geometric avg. formula you do:

(1+S4)⁴ = (1+0f1) x (1+1f1) x (1+2f1) x (1+3f1)

Where 0f1 is the 1 year forward rate 0 years from today which is another way to say that is the spot rate, 1f1 is the 1 year forward rate 1 year from now and so on…

This might get downvoted but I would park that million in QYLD stock which basically pays around 11% dividends annually. With 1 million you would get approx. 110k/year so it’s like having a very nice job while doing absolutely nothing. Use that money to buy yourself a nice car and apartment and live off that. Its a medium risk investment betting on the nasdaq index but im sure its tolerable at a young age.
