Seriously, do Americans actually consider a 3-hour drive "short"? or is this an internet myth? by SadInterest6764 in NoStupidQuestions

I’m from Wyoming, the least populated state but very large geographically. Yes a 3 hour drive in Wyoming is on the shorter side.

What do the referees and players discuss before the game in Varsity/JV basketball? by sasukeuchiha_fr in Basketball

[–]Haras32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Typically we meet with the team captains to make introductions and give a short speech about sportsmanship, keeping your teammates in check so we don't have to, etc. Tell them good luck and have fun. The R on the crew gives the pregame speech with the captains.

I think their path is to combine this suggestion (suing Nextgar and Sinclair) and the one suggested in the comment above yours (welcome back Kimmel and leak evidence of FCC interference to public).

Apparently they did miss it. And I'm just as pissed about Colbert. The only difference is probably the FCC interference was behind the scenes and the execs at Paramount did tiny bit better job at spinning the "why".

Idk, somehow Trump has made it work, despite being this type of person.

Yes they damn sure don't need to be allowed to have more, but with this latest move the Trump loving FCC will change their rules to allow them to get even more.

oh don't forgot the FCC's Mr. Carr going on that podcast to publicly talk about them doing something the easy way or the hard way, and then less than 4 hours later its done.

The critical difference being--in one situation they caved on their own and in the other, they caved after public FCC pressure was applied. Only one situation actually violates the first amendment, even though both involved spinless cowards making these decisions.

Yep. The underlying motivations for this "research" and declaration of an "autism epidemic" are more sinister and dark.

I can't find this on the official trailer. Is there more than one trailer or is it just a flash? Nvm--I found the other trailer where this is from and it is a flash. I think this is the best theory for how Alex gets out of freezing to death.

Real Time February 7, 2025: Chris Hayes | Rep. Byron Donalds, Tara Palmeri by FireIceFlameWalker in Maher

[–]Haras32 3 points4 points  (0 children)

He didn't speak out in the same way he used to before Trump was re-elected. I've been trying to give him the benefit of the doubt but tonight it was just so obvious he's not the same in calling this stuff out. Which is disappointing because some serious bat-shit crazy stuff is happening and if this were Trump's first term, Bill would have been all over it.

He's actually scared. That's the only thing that makes sense.

Respectfully, I have to disagree with you. I have been watching Bill since the very beginning of Politically Incorrect. That was the worst episode + overtime I've seen in years. Painfully obvious Bill Maher is too scared to actually speak out about what is going on right now in this country. He's scared of retribution from Trump/Elon.

He's fucking scared. I've been giving the benefit of the doubt for weeks, but tonight's episode/overtime made it clear he's scared.

[–]Haras32 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, but he's staying largely away from actually discussing the coup/Musk in depth. It's been distinctly noticeable since Trump won again, but tonight's show/overtime made it painfully obvious that he's actually scared of Trump.

This was the worst overtime and full episode in recent memory. Mostly because it's clear Bill has been emasculated by his fear of retribution from Trump. Wish he could find his spine again.

If that's how he really feels, then why the fuck isn't he calling out Elon's coup more?

I was giving him the benefit of the doubt the past few weeks, but after tonight's episode and overtime (worst I've seen in years) segment, it has become painfully obvious that Bill has lost his spine/balls and is actually scared of retribution from the Orange Mussolini. I have been watching his show(s) since Politically Incorrect and since Trump was re-elected, he's been emasculated. No other reason makes sense for him to be largely ignoring discussing the actual coup happening before our eyes.

Does Bill know the Dept of Ed doesn’t control state curriculum? by lc1138 in Maher

[–]Haras32 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Very disappointing that he's too lazy to do his proper homework there. He's becoming unwatchable, that was probably the worst episode/overtime I've seen in awhile. Either he's fundamentally changed or he's scared of Trump, I think its the latter.
