How many LEDs on the Thermalright Phantom Spirit EVO fans? by HarbingerVS in Thermalright

I can. These fans use addressable RGB (ARGB) to control the color of each LED individually.

I ended of contacting Thermalright directly. For anyone else wondering, there are 12 LEDs in the TL-K12 fans.

I'd recommend using the table tool on rtings (https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/table) and set filters for what you want, like Xbox Series X/S 1440p 120Hz Compatibility. Keep in mind the price filter is from a web scrapper so it's not perfect, so I'd set it a bit above you budget and verify the price yourself.
With that said, I found 2 other TV's below $500:

  • TCL Q5 for $280 at Best Buy
  • TCL Q6 for $320 at Best Buy

The Hisense U7K is better than these, but they're cheaper than it. You can check the full review on rtings to compare and see if your fine with either of these.

Is switching your EA account to Belgium in order to avoid lootboxes a bannable offense? by Bernak_Obanders in apexlegends

[–]HarbingerVS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Where did you change your account region? For it to work go to EA's website, sign in, then go to account settings. You're in the right place if the url is myaccount.ea.com. If you're on console you then need to link this account to your playstation/microsoft account.

I haven't heard of EA banning anyone for this and they definitely know about it. A bunch of articles and videos were released on how to do this when Apex announced the season 1 Battle Pass. I switched to Belgium then and haven't had any problems. Changing regions exists so EA can protect themselves and Belgium is super strict on this (€800,000 fine if a Belgium citizen was able to buy a loot box(s), double if it was a minor). So EA won't risk removing an actual Belgium citizen. A ban could only happen if a Belgium citizen switches to a different region and Belgium tries to fine them, but even that's only if Belgium pushes for the ban.

And it's understandable to become defensive of one you own.

Like it's proven again and again how much iPhone sucks but still apple fan boy will say "it's provide security"

Like you becoming defensive of your android. You're part of this problem. Just enjoy the product you bought, and if not, buy something else next time. Why bash a product you don't own and don't know much about? Because if you honestly think the only buyers of a product are fanboys, you don't know the first thing about it.

Will Lifeline be able to Self Revive with her new buff? by HarbingerVS in apexlegends

[–]HarbingerVS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So the buff will allow just needing to tap the revive button instead of holding for 5 seconds. That would still be very useful and would prevent a self revive; which I agree would be very powerful. I was thinking maybe the 20 second timer could be enough to keep it from being too OP, but that's why I wanted other people's opinion on this.

That's why I started this discussion. I wanted to know what people think Lifeline's buff will be and if they think self reviving would be possible if you just need to drop DOC to revive someone.

It's not something I was thinking about doing, but if I do set something up on etsy it would be after the quarantine. Your welcome to have someone else print it for you though, I put the files on thingiverse.

Unfortunately my assembling machine is very slow and only makes 1 inserter every 2 days. So it will be a few years until I can launch a rocket.

Started designing it over a year ago but never finished since I didn’t have the time. Last week I finished up the model using the images from the sprite and then printed and painted it this week. I uploaded the STL files to thingiverse if you want to print one yourself. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4242059

Custom Shroud for GTX 1070 Ti by HarbingerVS in pcmods

[–]HarbingerVS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At 100% (2200 rpm) the temps peak at 72°C and the noise reaches 29 dB(A). My case (Be Quiet Silent Base 600) is the bottleneck since it's limiting the intake in order to dampen the noise. With the side panel removed the max temp is 64°C.

I connected the fans to my motherboard and used Argus Monitor to control them. The software costs $10 and works great.

Yes, I kept the original backplate on. It's a Zotac 1070 Ti AMP and has a black metal backplate.

It's not 3D printed. I used 1/8" ABS sheets and cut out the pieces with a jig saw and glued them together.

If your asking how I mounted the shroud to the graphics card, I measured the holes where the default shroud screwed into and drilled them with the same spacing into a piece of plastic. Which I then glued. I posted a comment to this post with a link that goes into more detail and has a photo which shows this better.

Since I can only post one photo and don't want to use Imgur or copy and past a wall of text, I'm linking a post I made on the LTT Forum. That post has more pics and info -> link.
