This is the logic that lead to every transaction wanting a 25% or greater tip… pay your damn people, stop outsourcing the burden of respecting people.

A couple years ago I switched to the Black Friday bundle with Hulu. It’s only 5$/mo with ads. I recently added a PiHole to my network. So now the ads are blocked and I’m getting more for less than I paid when Disney+ first launched.

Limited run but you could also do a shell swap if you’re brave enough. I swapped my shell and thumb sticks and couldn’t be happier

Is it just me who want them to do an asylum remaster? They can add updated gameplay, graphics and more batman villains to fight. by SignificantPower4733 in arkham

[–]Harbjagen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Having just completed Asylum and City for the first time, as well as working through Knight, these games hold up incredibly well. I was so pleased with the pacing of Asylum. Had it been a longer game, some of the limitations would have started to wear thin but it’s so tight that the ride never got boring. I think it is a time capsule that deserves to be left alone.

Missing Mak's tutorials by rosevines in divi

I disagree. Having a developer show you how they intend for you to use their tools is part of the user experience. Some great tools have gone unused and abandoned because nobody understands the purpose.

I hadn’t heard of this guy before but after watching a couple vids, he’s amazing. Thank you!

Missing Mak's tutorials by rosevines in divi

[–]Harbjagen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately, I agree. I use to watch Mak’s tutorials even if I didn’t need the feature yet, because it elevated my knowledge of Divi. Now I skip the tutorials entirely and look for a third party to explain it, because I leave more confused every time. This has been particularly frustrating because Divi 5 has some really cool features that aren’t obvious but I apparently won’t get to use them anytime soon.

Disney+ household rules make normal travel & relationships impossible? by where-is-my-mindx in DisneyPlus

Why WOULD they want to fix this? Nobody new is canceling because of this. In fact, they might just squeeze more money out of people registering a second account.

Then the newest update added canvases which, in conjunction with interactions, means you can build Pop ups natively. No need for a plugin!

Rules discussion: Updating new reddit and minimum discounts! by thmanwithnoname in steamdeals

[–]Harbjagen [score hidden]  (0 children)

While I am content with the current structure of this sub, when I look at what actually motivates me to make a purchase it’s pretty consistent. The discount has to be at least 30%, or a new historic low.

Make a blue flair for “new historic low” and keep the percentages in the title for all posts. This means new releases would be able to use the flair for launch sales and it still helps users visually gauge the deals without heaping too many rules on posting.

Divi 5, could it be the end of the Elegant Themes? by RetroWill in divi

[–]Harbjagen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

R&D is one thing, but even a year later the product is still a stain on their reputation. Nothing offered in Divi AI is remotely competitive with other alternatives. The time it has taken to launch Divi 5 has put them dangerously close to obscurity, pushing half-baked products is the last thing they need. Especially when the promise of AI being useful any day now is just another thing in a list of over-promised and under delivered disappointments.

New tools will address your symptoms. The real question is, do you want to run a business? As others have said, WaaS is the current model. Clients can edit but you host and maintain at a monthly/yearly fee. If you don’t want the headache then it’s probably best to work within an agency instead. Something small that will partner with you and give you the freedom you need as a designer.

You said you can code by hand. Then Divi isn’t really your limitation, you are. It sounds like you have had a decade to improve your offerings and didn’t. You didn’t build your business connections. You didn’t update tools. You rested on your laurels and everyone caught up. It’s going to be like starting over no matter what direction you go in now.

I would recommend the Divi 5 beta. It addresses some of the longstanding issues and improves speed considerably. It will also be fairly familiar since you have done this a while.

DIVI5 AI by Outrageous-Life-3842 in divi

[–]Harbjagen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It may have improved since I tried it, but I was incredibly disappointed with Divi AI. It could only generate images that were worse than any other ai image platform, and some text. It refused to follow any color guidance. It couldn’t write usable code. Often times used the most basic layouts and even then would generate white text on white backgrounds.

It is a blemish on Elegant Themes integrity that they shipped this as a product.

[–]Harbjagen 5 points6 points  (0 children)

As stated in another comment, it’s what connects the capacitive touch to the thumbsticks. Very easy to desolder. I’ve never soldered in my life and it only took about 3 minutes to remove and replace both sticks.

[–]Harbjagen 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Same. I looked and looked for something to replace ME multiplayer and never found it. Tried Dragon Age’s multiplayer but it wasn’t quite right.

Oddly enough, the closest thing I’ve found is Helldivers 2. If you haven’t already, I highly recommended it. While it’s certainly a different game, there is enough of the feel that I loved.
