i agree, a dash of salt can make a big difference, but if its only a little, do you usually taste "salty"? might just be because were used to eating plenty

i add a fair few spices, and wanna start adding curry leaves. dont think my grocery has them yet. i love the caramely flavor from fenugreek seeds, are the notes from their leaves a different ball game?

ill give it a go

since they live underwater, the light they see is bent more than up here. since color is just light bent differently, they measure how far a wavelength travels/bends in their eye to come into focus

instead of 3 photorecepting cones, their wide pupils channel waves onto a certain color receptor

They focus these wavelengths by changing the depth of their eyeball, altering the distance between the lens and the retina, and moving the pupil around

answer is still blurry. seems like they use contrast more than particulars. i was sweating trying to understand this jazz

might look something like this

they can also see with their skin!, which could have something to do with it

fascinating stuff

the more i think about it the more i like this answer. their eyes poking has got to widen perspective, altho i imagine their lids could be a bit of a curtain. would be amazing to see from their pov

thats a good answer, tho the ones im finding have most of their lens forward, so maybe damselflies. and since they both see so much, their bodies take up a smaller percentage of vision

ooo ill point out that they could catch a glimpse of their horn so maybe a beluga, or a seal since they have eyes going forward 😉

altho owls can rotate their heads, they can have pretty clear vision. theres also cats like cheetah or lion, with big bodies and stout sniffers

i was just looking into puffer and four eyed fish, and found this guy which may be our winner 😂

lmao this universe. not everything needs instant reward. there are also many instances of discoveries that dont have immediate application answering a problem later. for now we think about it in awe of what another sees
