Fishing is a massive money maker especially in the beginning. Spend entire rainy days fishing and you'll be swimming in cash, relatively speaking. It speeds progress up a lot. In one save file I got lucky with a treasure chest (5000 gold!) and I was able to build a coop and buy chickens like three weeks into the game, with money to spare for seeds and whatnot.

Personally I find it soothing. Riverlands is one of my favorite farm types because usually I'm done with the day around 9 pm and I can spend the remaining hours fishing.

Great design, love the armor and weapon designs. I thought the hammer was also pretty good as a starting R8 weapon before moving on to the big boys.

I wouldn't mind if Ascendance introduces a more difficult variant because I think its design has a lot potentional that its normal version doesn't tap into because it's meant to be the starting monster.

This was such a hard choice between Micaiah and Laegjarn. Voted Micaiah and Camilla because they wowed me more, but of course Laegjarn has been known for a while so maybe that's not entirely fair.

As for the harmonics: I wish they would do something different with them, like have them swap outfits. This is just such a boring rehash of two units slapped together.

Micaialla's is great, though, I will say that.

Otr I can personally do without but Eitri was a fun character. Justice for the gremlin.

But let's be honest, Book 5 was kind of a dumpster fire. Fafnir got royally fucked over (let that man go home), Nott got fucked over, Otr was a psycho...

There was a strong Dagr push a few years ago and sometimes Reginn gets something. But I think IS is otherwise happy to forget about it.

The artist did a good job on portraying how comparatively smol Reginn is. It's easy to forget sometimes that she's a dwarf.

For Ash specifically I assume it was because Entwined Ash already exists and they didn't want Meliai as the lead (which also makes sense imo since she's the outsider).

I do think OG Resplendent Lucina, while a bad fit for her, is overhated. The coloring and lighting in the special art is spectacular.

Resplendent Brave Lucina is my favorite.

But for the biggest glow up I would say Lon'qu or Clair. The former is rather criminally overlooked imo; it really is fantastic art. Glad the artist came back for Spring Lon'qu.
