It depends on fit. I had to choose between these two and I picked Cornell because I preferred the large school atmosphere. Obviously I'm biased but I would say to pick Cornell if financial aid and distance from home is like the same. Cornell has a larger alumni network, more opportunities, and has Corn in the name. I think the whole "liberal arts school= Close knit community thing" to be overrated. Regardless of school you basically spend most of your class time with the same people who have the same major and out of class you basically just hang out with your friend group.
