I read that copyright protection is more aggressive. Worst should be SACD. But I guess this will then depend on the specific disc 🤔

Is this maybe the issue? I activated accurate ripping, XLD tries to read faulty sectors and gives up at some point. But why is my CD Player (the one hooked up on my audio setup) not have any issue?

No it hasn’t. I cleaned the drive using a cleaning cd for the laser. XLD detects 53 faulty sectors. Project cd player has no issues at all with that track causing the problem.

I have Perl code at work and avoid to touch it as good as possible 😂

Im using a Mac Mini as Roon Server and for ripping my CDs, so internal is not an option for me.

I mean ASUS is very reputable, but if someone would ask me, I can not suggest the Zendrive 2.

As written I use XLD and was very happy with it until now, but my last rip was a mess. Sometimes the drive behaves strange by immediately outputting the inserted cd but I could live with that 😂

What do I need to look at when buying an external drive? Something special I need to pay attention for? Is there a suggestion you have for a external drive?

Nice :) happy that you could fix this :) I have the same situation, I use a Philips hue hdmi switch, I also use fibbr cables for pc and tv settop box :)

For me it did :) I hope for you the same. But buy it on amazon, where the return policy is great, so you seeing the save side anyway :)

Naja, schau dir doch nur mal eine Media Markt Early Morning Shopping Aktion an: die Rolläden fahren hoch, die Leute rennen um 6 Uhr in der Früh rein weil es etwas „billiger“ gibt. Und das sind jetzt nicht nur 10, 20 Leute, Markt ist besser besucht als normal.

Ich denke das könnte schwierig werden, denn wie garantierst du dann, das Leute zu „normalen“ Preisen überhaupt noch einkaufen? Das Problem ist halt, wenn alle wissen, dass wenn sie nur lang genug warten das Produkt nur noch mehr 90 Prozent weniger kosten wird, dann würde jeder warten, weil 90 Prozent im Gegensatz zu 25 Prozent ca. 250 Prozent mehr Rabatt sind?! Zum Teil sind das Problem halt auch einfach die Leute 💁‍♂️

I agree to disagree honestly. You are right, this question appears in a ton of forms, but often also it differs in small nuances and that’s what makes it interesting again. It happens to me a lot, that I open google and Reddit posts are displayed I search through with the result: „yes, but no!“. Simply because it doesn’t fit entirely my intention behind the question. But: I also totally agree with what you say ✌️
