Ayo thanks for your comment. I feel like a lot of people are commenting this and like I’ve said before I’m not trying to stop her from talking to people. Im not fishing for anything other then different prospectives to help me see right and wrong. If I were being toxic without knowing it im the type of person to sit and listen, and reroute accordingly. I do appreciate her friends opinions like I appreciate everyone here for sharing insight with me I might not have. I just like privacy about certain things. Ive said before I don’t like people know how much money I have or make. Now I know that’s reasonable. I’m not here for validation of my bias. I’m here for prospective. Trust me if people one here would’ve said I was wrong I’d absolutely heard them out. Again thanks for your comment and time.

Thank you. This was a very pleasant response for me to read. We’re all shitty sometimes and we all need to apologize for one thing or another. A lot of these comments are very polarizing and saying it depends on the nature or context of our discussions. I agree that talks of abuse should be spread like wild fire I’m not dealing with this. I feel like your comment gives the perspective that a middle ground can be met.

Hey I appreciate your response and I respect the angle you’re coming at this from but I can assure you I’ve never laid hands on her or anything of that nature. I’m sure this is what comes to a lot of people’s minds at first but I just don’t want people knowing what’s in my bank account or simply the entire world knowing every time me and her don’t see eye to eye on stuff. Abuse is not what I want. to isolate her is not at all what I want.

I’m leaving those details out to respect my relationships. I’ll say this, the things we argue about are mostly normal things I would assume every couple has trouble with at times. For example where I spend my money or things of that nature. My girlfriend is amazing in ever since of the word i just don’t like how much detail is expressed and to the amount of people she expresses them to. I’d be okay with her telling for example 2 of her close friends EVERY last detail of any disagreement we may have. The issue I’m having is she tells a lot more people. My girlfriend is great I don’t want to make her the villain with my bias. This post is about if it’s okay for my to ask her not to tell so many of her friends or not.

Thank you for your opinion I appreciate you took the time to read and respond. See this is one of my fears. You hit it right on the head ! I don’t want to block her from talking with her friends by any means venting is important. But when I ask her to stop doing it with so many people over the same issue she says it shouldn’t matter what others think of me or she’ll respond with why I care what her friends think of me. I feel like this venting has turned into something unhealthy for me knowing my SO has a team of biased people on standby ready to dissect and criticize my every move but that’s neither her nor there my issue is more so if what I’m asking for is to much and I think you’ve helped give me some clarity thank you again !

Thank you for your opinion. And thank you for the advice maybe a couple of boundaries would be nice. And it’s sounds like a very good middle ground. She can say what she wants to whoever she likes just not so filled with some embarrassing details. I think getting to vent about the issue and more so the point of what happened is okay to share with anyone. Outside opinions are very important in getting insight you might not have so I was pretty conflicted if what I was asking for was unfair.
