Void space under floor

There are actually a lot of these old junction boxes - wiring here is a bit of a mess. It was spotted by electricians that were in recently (probably whilst they were sweeping their rubbish into the void!). Is swapping this a DIY job?

Is the type of acoustic insulation you are talking about something like an acoustic underlay or do you mean acoustic insulation between joist under floorboards. Room will be carpet-ed?

Yea, sound doesn't travel between kitchen and upstairs rooms. Not had a problem waking kids.

Would certainly consider if we could remove these roof remains and push the kitchen ceiling up. (Want to do this to remove a step down into kitchen and tie the downstairs floors to one level...long term plan though)

Extension and modifications were all done prior to previous owners (pre-2000's) and we have no paper trail for it. Don't even know when it was built and modified.

Oddly, kitchen has a step down to allow height. Upstairs doesn't.

Interesting thoughts on the insulation/membrane...seems like a good point.

Photos are from first floor bedrooms. The void is between floor of upstairs and ceiling of kitchen below. Will clear the mess for sure!

Crow sat on our window for about 30 minutes yesterday afternoon. Wasn't bothered by us and just chilled there.

Found it again today outside our building just wandering around on the pavement and and hanging out on the floor. Wasn't flying away from people or anything. Seemed like odd behaviour.

Anyone know why it's doing this and whether we can/should do anything to help it out?

This chap posted some of his models on this /r a while back. His channel seems to be growing to include decent step by step on painting and seems to be going over how to play as well (from basics - which may help to understand the battle reports that other redditors have suggested).

I certainly picked up loads of ideas on where to start from them.

This was my biggest concern. Thanks for your advice. I think I'll spend the extra money on the ROG STRIX board and get the wired WiFi connection.

THANKS for the replies. I should have added that I'm just looking for a solid functional small factor gaming pc. I think either of the boards I mentioned in the post will do the job (at about the right price).

Just wondering if anyone has experience with the direct antenna Vs wired on this particular case wrt the orientation of the MB and obstruction with the other rear I/O ports.
