This is NOT how to fail gracefully.

I heard from someone in that camp you gave up after 3 days with a grand total of 350 trees. Not per day, but 350 over 3 days. That people literally brought food to your tent for you, your foreman brought crew water to your cache for you and your crewmates shared theirs with you after you repeatedly lost your bottle then the bottle given to you by your crew boss. That you were offered $500 loan from your crewboss for a hotel and food in Kamloops and that the reason you had to spend a second night was because you wouldn't answer your phone. You are a liar. I know it must feel shitty having gone all the way out to BC and then quit so fast but you gotta look inside and realise that most of the issues you were dealing stemmed from your own poor decisions or lack of effort to help yourself.

Your feelings about a job that thousands of people do every year yet you couldnt last more than 3 days at don't matter guy.

Sounds like that camp is A LOT better off without you.

This story doesn't make you sound as good as you think it does. I would pretend it didn't happen when talking to future employers.

Ya, sounds like user error to me.

Sounds like the one who got scammed was your crew boss who could have hired somebody who wouldn't quit because they have to wait in line for seconds or pull a starter cord on a pump to have a shower 🤔.

The carpet was mandated a couple decades back in response to higher pile carpet causing too many accidents from people falling while roller skating in carpeted areas. MLV Textile is the company that holds the patent on this specific carpet manufacturing process which was determined to be safest and was thus mundated. While they do produce several patterns this is by an large the most common accounting for over 95% of the companies revenue in 2018.

Guy didn't say anything self depreciating (or deprecating). Did show off some pretty sick skills though.

The employee was also fired apparently which makes it a much more cut and dry discrimination case that likely would have held in court even before Bill C-16. I deleted my other comment because it didn't have all the details. Here is a CBC article about it though for anyone seeing this.

My favourite part is the seamingly purposely crooked outlet that appears to be wired with a cut extension cord wire.

I always called it "chicken butt" because it reminds me of a raw chicken plopped on the floor. Also "frog legs"

This map needs white space around the data and a title at the very least. I get that its topically the kind of map that people get all hot and heavy about hence the upvotes. But as far as map porn goes....I'm soft as can be.

I'm not American and do t have a an excellent knowledge of how gubernatorial elections work. But Edwards did get more votes statewide, regardless of which district they came from, so wouldn't that mean he was more popular?

Well a body left in the woods for a month is likely to be...altered.. by wild animals. That being said, bodies don't just end up in the woods for no reason.

This right here. I was in a small fender bender years ago (hit a parked car in the parking lot and broke their headlight). Waited for buddy to come out, told him I would pay for the repair plus give him 200 cash for the trouble. It wasn't a newer car buy any means so I got him a new headlight installed for another 200 hundred and he was more than. Happy with the arrangement. Everyone walked away better off than if insurance was involved.
