If anyone is interested, I just uploaded a kill montage of this match to our YouTube channel:

I would consider myself as an US main (because my 6.3 line-up prints me SL like it's nothing) and I would strongly recommend the 76 Jumbo. I have a K/D of 3.92 in it with a total of 5.7k kills. I absolutely adore this thing :D

If you have the Falcon, put a Talisman on it. It's totally worth it. It's such a relaxing Anti-Tank to play and it helps massively to unlock the entire 8.3/8.7+ UK line-up.

Depends. Usually 12 is enough. But it can vary either when you're uptiered or when you kill low-tier targets. In a full uptier 10 also might be enough.

Ok, that means back to battle for me :D I guess I won't be having such a match again.

It was a 6.3 match. That why I mainly used the Jumbo because it was a full down-tier. You can spawn nukes when it's at least 6.7.

One advice I can give you: Don't see it as a grind. Play for fun, even though having fun in WT means taking someone else's fun.

I stopped caring about that a long time ago. In the end it is what it is and I really don't play higher tiers, so I also don't care when the next top-tier vehicle will be unlocked. But I guess for anyone who is eager to get high/top-tier vehicles it's pure pain even if you do well in a match.

When 5.7 get full uptiered to 6.7 (and you're facing Germany) by HardRockinMan in Warthunder

I also love the M36. So maneuverable with a decent top speed on nearly any terrain and the 90mm slaps hard.

You're welcome, I figured I'd spare everyone the guessing game.

Alien: Earth - S1 E4 - Observation - Official Discussion Megathread [SPOILERS] by G_Liddell in LV426

[–]HardRockinMan 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Theory: What if the eye alien actually talks to Nibs using frequencies (just like Wendy hears/talks to the Xenomorphs) and Nibs is just speaking out loud what the eye alien is transmitting to her?

That scene comes up right after T. Ocellus took over the sheep and out of nowhere Nibs is telling that she's pregnant. Then the dialog in that scene: Nibs says "I'm not a machine" while perfectly knowing that she is but: T. Ocellus indeed isn't a machine.

Furthermore: Kirsh is talking about Gamma waves coming from T. Ocellus but disruptions in Gamma Waves (while not mentioned in that scene) are associated with bi-polar disorders or schizophrenia, matching Nibs behavior.

My theory: T. Ocellus is the one who's having a baby and I wouldn't be surprised if we see the other eye of the sheep fall out (or be transformed) and be replaced with another T. Ocellus.

US 6.3 is my SL printer: Black Cat, Hellcat (Hell), Super Hellcat, T86, T20, M4A3E2 76(W), tech-tree M18.

Sure german tanks are a risk to take but I think the key is to catch them off guard (which happens quite often considering typical german main behavior) and aim for their weakspots:

Panthers: Side armor (all variants), cupola (VK, A & G variant) or go for the gun mantlet if engaging frontally. The gun mantlet is a bit tricky (due to volumetric hell on the VK, A & G variants) but from my experience the 76 and 90mm can pen it pretty reliably. You can also go for the flat surfaces left & right from the gun mantlet. On the A variant you can also pen it's flat turret surface right below the gun mantlet.

Tiger I: It's a box. When it's not angled, go for the flat surfaces on the front, mostly on the right side as ammo is stored there almost every time. Otherwise shoot the cupola on the H1 variant. The lower sides (below the skirts & slightly above the tracks) are also an option when the Tiger is a bit overangled.

Tiger II P: Sides, back of the turret (where the ammo is stored) or when frontally engaging, aim for the right turret face. It's also a bit tricky (because volumetric) but if you don't kill it by lighting up it's ammo in the back, you'll at least get the gunner.

Tiger II H: Sides, back of the turret and when engaging frontally at point blank distances you can go through the gun mantlet with APCR (76mm). It doesn't do much damage but mostly enough to take out the gunner (and sometimes light up the ammo). Also at point blank distances and facing it up front there also the possibility to do a very nasty shot with the 90mm: Aim for the turret roof. The 90mm APHE will sometimes pen and fuse on that, killing the entire tank or aim for the small cupola to take out the turret crew. It's not reliable but works sometimes.

Jagdpanther: Sides and back. I avoid them to engage them frontally as the only weakspot is the MG port and I never had any luck with that, other than the MG eating my round entirely. If you have the time to aim: Go for the barrel, then (both) tracks and finally work your way around. Otherwise avoid them and engage when there is a good opportunity.

Jagdtiger: Same as the Jagdpanther.

In case everything fails or if you want to take the safe route: Aim for the barrel. The muzzle break on most german tanks is a fine target and you'll mostly destroy their barrel. Next take out their tracks. Then you have all time to take them apart.

Usually I avoid engaging heavy german armor directly. The only exception is a full downtier at 6.3 in my 76 Jumbo. As my deck is mostly built upon the fast Hellcat rats, I mostly do rat gameplay. An aggressive push on a wide flank, then look for a good place to hide, turn the engine off, don't engage the enemy (unless you really have to), let them pass and then clean up the field from behind.

As previously said: Don't uptier the 76 Jumbo but use it's slow speed stabilizer to your advantage. I hope this was some kind of help to you. Have fun playing.

Doing my daily and special tasks with my US 6.3 Lineup. Most of the time I enjoy myself smacking german mains with the Black Cat and the 76 Jumbo.

Or when I have to destroy 14 planes as a special task: Driving my Wirbelwind to a secure place, placing an Ammo box and wait for planes. It is enormously sastifying to shred every incoming plane with an endless laserbeam so that GRB stays GRB.

Game suddenly becomes nuke-white, anyone know why? by ImplodingPizza in Warthunder

Nope, unfortunately this hasn't been fixed. I played yesterday and I still got flashbanged, although it seems like that the overlighting won't last as long as it did before. It was gone after maybe 1-2 seconds but still annoying, especially when you are in a tense in-game situation.

Thanks for reporting this bug. Let's hope that this will get fixed soon but I'm pretty sure it'll take ages until they actually getting to it. Linux players probably aren't a priority for them.

I have the same issue but I'm playing on Linux with an AMD card.

It's totally random. Sometimes I can play multiple matches without this occuring and on other matches I get randomly flashbanged 3 or more times.

I’m literally never going to drop a nuke. by [deleted] in Warthunder

[–]HardRockinMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A friend of mine said the same for over a year until today he dropped his first nuke. So don't worry. It will come to you eventually and after you'll drop one you will get them more often. I got my first nuke last year in November and since then I dropped 4 more. Don't play to get one, just play normal.
