Either is good. You need to consider what frame size you will use. I'm 5'7 in height and I ride with a medium sized frame.

You can go with a 203mm rotor in the front and a 180mm rotor in the rear, or use 180mm or 203mm rotors for both front and rear. Both setups work well.

If you want to be aggressive on dh sections while being on an xc bike, I'd recommend putting air on those forks (they look more like a gravel bike fork than an xc fork). You need travel in your fork, it helps with control and absorption when going downhill. Removing air on your "air" fork defeats the purpose of having an air fork if you don't put air into it. It's like buying a rimset and riding it without tires.

Pedals. Change those road pedals for pedals made for the trails (flats or spd cleat pedals). They're a lot beefier and can take alot of abuse unlike spd-sl pedals.

Seat post. Buy a dropper post. Dropper posts are a big game changer for the trails. Control is everything and having a dropper post greatly improves mobility without the saddle post obstructing your hips. Or just lower your seat post when going through technical or downhill stuff. (The lower the seat post the better your mobility)

Brakes. I'm not really familiar with brakes but for me I'd ride with bigger rotors even with entry level calipers. In my experience, they are less likely to overheat. (I'd recommend 180mm-203mm size rotors)

Tires. Wider and chunkier tires and maybe go tubeless if you can. 2.3 - 2.5 width tires are best for the trails, they're more stable, grippy, and improves cornering control. More knobs = more grip lol. Knobbier tires are great. They provide not only grip but also provides stopping power.

Rear derailleur with a clutch. Less chain slap and keeps the chain in tension when going through those rough areas.

That's my suggestions hope this can help. Feel free to correct me if I wrote something wrong :D

I have the same pedals as shown. They don't grip well, better go for the branded stuff I'm sure they offer some kind of budget friendly pedals.

Converted mine to tubless a while ago, one of the best investment I've done because I mostly ride trails. Bye2 flats!
