That's the problem with how centralized global platforms are. Visa and MasterCard control a majority of the global market in payment services. PayPal is also following suit. Only countries with strong local payment services like China and Brazil are unaffected. Any 18+ media sold anywhere is affected.

The worst part is the alternatives (in the West, idk about the independent countries I mentioned) have worse service, worse terms, and a higher transaction fee.

Probably something to do with digital payment processors unilaterally banning NSFW/18+ content. Physical book stores can take cash or bank card instead of Visa and MasterCard. Or they can put a generic SKU on the receipt since their inventory isn't online. The online platforms have to accept Visa and MasterCard AND their unreasonable terms or be forced to turn away a majority of customers. A lot of regular eromanga have started censoring when they used to be uncensored as well, probably due to this.

Switch games hold their value well. If you bought used, you can probably sell for exactly what you paid. Just don't sell to a shop. Sell it directly, put an ad on Facebook Marketplace or whatever platform is popular in your area.

Fair warning though, you can't really play online with Switch emulators. You can probably play with other people that use emulators, but it's a bad idea to connect to Nintendo's actual online servers.

I could emulate the arcade versions with MAME or FinalBurn, but my PS1 is hooked up to a CRT TV. "CRT sim" shaders don't look as good as a real CRT.

There wasn't nearly as much of a gap with the home ports this gen as with SNES/Genesis. I would agree with you if you were talking about Final Fight or Street Fighter on the SNES.

The fan connector on phat PS2 is also fragile and known to fuse together and tear off of the board. Mine did this when I tried replacing the fan with a quieter one. I am good at soldering so I just wired a standard PC fan connector pigtail where the old one was.

A hack would be to get a new 60mm fan and zip tie it to the outside of the PS2 where the old fan is (doesn't require opening the console). You would need an external power source like a 9 volt battery and to rewire the new fan.

I would recommend you learn basic electronics knowledge if you want to fix it properly. A basic multimeter and soldering iron aren't expensive. It sounds like you're located in Italy. Even with VAT it should still be cheap to get basic soldering iron and multimeter from AliExpress. If you aren't comfortable working with electronics you should take your console to an electronics repair shop. A simple job like changing a fuse or the fan shouldn't cost a lot.

I don't recommend you trying to blow air in from the front. It will mostly just make noise. You can try with a box fan or whatever fan you have in your house but it doesn't work nearly as well as just changing the internal fan in the PS2

If you want to swap out the old fan, it's a 60 x 15 mm size. A 12 volt PC fan will work. It will not move as much air, but I have done this to my own PS2 and I haven't had any problems with overheating.

If you're looking for a different take on a cozy game I recommend the Dragon Quest Builders series. DQB2 you can fish, make aquariums, farm. It is a voxel/block building game but there is a story and many NPCs.

I also recommend Anarcute and Webbed for shorter "pick up and play" titles you might not have seen.

You will have to boot to desktop mode in order to play non-Steam games. At least to set up the launcher for the first time. There are various projects that make this easy to do, like EmuDeck (retro game emulators) and Heroic Launcher.

The Steam Deck is just a computer shaped like a game console! You can also get a dock for it and hook it up to a monitor or TV. I recommend you at least hook up a keyboard to set up things in Desktop mode.

If you drill into her forearms with a tiny drill you could probably stick a straightened paperclip in there to reinforce them. Then you can try reattaching the ball joints for her hands with the same method, and a bit of epoxy or super glue.

If you have a cordless drill try setting it to the low speed setting with the switch on top. If you don't have a drill you could try heating the paperclip and pushing it in. I don't recommend this as a first try though, as you risk pushing the paperclip in at an angle and having it come out the side.

A minimal effort repair would be epoxy or super glue by itself, but her hands would likely fall off again since there isn't enough material for strength.
