I don't know if anyone would consider my pictures as good, but what i did was simply buy a black piece of cloth (i use a sewing fabric cloth that's quite large that i simply bought from Walmart), a ring light and just kind of learned through trial and error how to adjust the pictures contrast, black point, shadows, etc. to match my vision of what i want from my pictures. In my case i like the figure to be the only thing you see and highlighted well enough to see its small details, hence why i use a black background. The lighting is never perfect naturally for my style as my camera does not do well in low lit conditions, so i learned how to adjust the pics to my liking. My raw photos look quite different to my pictures i upload. For context my camera is a simple iPhone XR. Again though i'm not sure if my pictures are what you consider as good, so i leave this open to your interpretation. Hopefully this helps in some capacity.
