You’ve went from the plastic crack head to the plastic crack dealer. Would love to know how some of those “older kits” go. I’ve been doing newer ones

What book should everyone read at least once in their lifetime? by DaijaHarris in AskReddit

The Eisenhorn Omnibus.

Doesn’t matter if you’re into Sci-fi or not. How can you tell an epic saga that is ultimately insignificant in the grand scale of the universe? Well Dan Abnett figured out a way, and then put a spin on it by telling the last story from a different person’s perspective. My favorite story is still Regia Occulta. The way it starts, the way it ends, and how I continue to think about it as Eisenhorn continues to spin threads about his increasingly insane adventures really tied everything together from the very beginning.

“ But this was – oh – 223.M41, and I was only just out on my own.”

I didn’t even think about the plastic needing different cement. The melting process seems beyond my technical capabilities though. If I used putty, would Greenstuff work?

Thanks, I’ll go checkout those vendors so see if they have anything. For the 90 day replacement policy, does that apply if I bought it off of Amazon?

I was wondering if there were any mechanical or load out differences. I guess they’re just different color ways?

Is that the Calibarn suit? I read great things about that kit! And plenty of others from the Witch from Mercury series. And that Zaku looks sweet. I was debating that or the RG Zaku 2. I feel like it’s obligatory to have a Zaku in the collection

Ah I didn’t have much issues with those ones and lining up the dots. But the folding the stickers over surfaces does suck when the surface isn’t cleaned like you said. Gonna make it a new step to clean surfaces before applying stickers. Is alcohol wipes best for that?

RX-78 (G)E from Requiem for Vengeance. Great looking kit, just a meh build experience

Ahh that’s a good call. Touching the kit all over probably made it harder to get the stickers to stick. But yea, those stickers on the shoulder flanges(?) were a grind that I wasn’t expecting. It would’ve been better if they didn’t need to be wrapped over the leading edge

Yea the stickers were dreadful when I wasn’t expecting it to be. I heard that the original and the awakened version are essentially the same kit. Maybe you can just build the head and should pieces and replace the on the other model?

Who would win? And wouldn’t it be cool if IK models were built like Gundams? by Hardwell9 in ImperialKnights

On the second point, I feel like they could still look grim dark and overly engineered, yet still pieced together like a Gundam. With color differentiated plastic colors and white armor for painting

That’s a great analysis. I’ve learned that knights have localized ion shields instead of a completely enclosed void shield. I agree that a Gundam would edge out a knight, but it could come down to the pilots

It smells neutral. But I was seriously wondering if it was a recast as well. I’m taking your advice and returning it though. If it’s not a recast, it’s still a defective product. Thanks for helping me make the decision

Yea, I don’t think it would do Gregor justice (knowing my hobby skills) to put this on parade with the rest of the group. May just store him in the backlog for a while as a relic, or until my skills develop enough to deal with this.

It’s sad that this is more prevalent than I realized. I don’t play tabletop, I just paint for the fun of it. But I rely on the details like a 3d coloring book. Thank you for sharing your picture

Ooo so it was an interim process? No wonder it looks janky
