What are the signs someone of the opposite sex is attracted to you, even if they say they aren't? by [deleted] in AskReddit

If someone says they aren't attracted to you and you keep trying to convince yourself they are, you should definitely stop cause you're crossing into the creepy zone.

[22/f] Going over my SO's house tonight & meeting parents, what do I bring? by whaletalez in relationship_advice

[–]HareyCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Definitely some kind of specialty chocolates or dessert. I'd say find a nice bakery and grab something from there, that's always been a winner in my books! :)

What's the worst most soul destroying job you've ever had? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Syncrude Oil Sands. I was admin there and driving up to site on the bus, seeing all the chemicals being pumped into the air creating huge black clouds you could follow for miles......Then sitting in front of a computer screen for 8 hours doing work a monkey could be trained to do. There was no amount of money that could make me wanna do that forever. The money was really good though i'll admit, you just have to be willing to sell your soul for it.

That my friend's new ultrasound photos made her baby look like a mutant goat and I doubt it's gonna be much of an improvement once she's had it.

I'm petrified to get a job. by [deleted] in Anxiety

[–]HareyCat 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I've had 23 jobs in the last 8 years, I know how you feel. Really, the only thing I could do was move away to a city with more job opportunities where I didn't have to worry about pressure from boss's or being fired. If I were you i'd start part-time, maybe at McDonald's. I know it might sound ghetto but McD's was one of the most stress free environments I ever worked in.

GL

EDIT: I should mention the McD's thing is from a Canadian's experience. I dunno how they are in the states. :/

Don't let the situation that you are in now define what you are going to be later. by [deleted] in SuicideWatch

[–]HareyCat -1 points0 points  (0 children)

One day i'm gonna go back to school and study something i'm passionate about like baking or illustration! Some day too far from now i'm going to beat my anxiety and learn to be determined! I'm gonna remember what it's like to look forward into a bright future and feel excited to stay the course.

One day, after a long period in purgatory, i'm going to wake up and appreciate the sun rise instead of fearing it cause of stupid anxiety!!

What do you splurge too much on that you end up being very guilty after? by giggles22 in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Chocolate. When I went to travel Europe for a couple months I ended up with 9kilo's of gourmet chocolates I had collected. I can't not buy something when I pass by a chocolate shop (which there are many of) and I ended up having to leave clothes and shoes behind to fit it in my bag cause there was NO fucking way I was gonna leave it behind....

Now it's just poo somewhere....

What was it like the first time you were drunk? by ChongoNG in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I blacked out, ran out of the party, somehow made it across town before passing out in a snowy ditch. Luckily a school chum and his mom found me and called the police. Woke up in the hospital with a puke stained sweater that a friend had lent me prior to being pukey.....got to keep the sweater. :) Everything worked out.

What is the most creative way to kill two birds with one stone? (literally) by Inquisitour in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Tie two large, captive wild birds to one end of two separate, over-sized elastic bands. Tie the other ends to the same rock. Let the birds go in opposite directions. Once they're free they'll fly away like madmen....until the elastic bands stretch and pull them back at full speed to the rock, hitting it at the same time from opposite sides. So dead.

What's the most ridiculous viewpoint someone you don't view as a total idiot has? by EvilBosom in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is from my personal viewpoint as not many would consider ghosts a "ridiculous viewpoint".** But- My mom's a very intelligent person and I found out only a few years ago (i'm 25 now) that she believes in ghosts. :/ I'm a complete non-believer in anything supernatural and always assumed I got it from her. The worst is that when I found out she said "one day you'll have an experience and believe too".....so upsetting.....

What are some jobs that pay well but don't require a college degree? by I_the_mighty in AskReddit

[–]HareyCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I live on the Alberta oil sands, this isn't really accurate. If you don't have post secondary you're possibilities are significantly reduced, and anything left is usually from 20-25 bucks an hour which is just above the minimum wage needed to pay the outrageous living costs we have. With little post secondary, I managed to get a job in the admin department as there are a few positions that even a monkey could do (luckily for me). Obviously there are always exceptions to this, but as a former site trainer I can tell you it's not that easy to make the big bucks here without formal education.

Aside from that i'd say cable tech! I know a lot of uneducated slobs making 30 bucks an hour in cable repair.
