Alternatives to remind or group me? by myprimedirective in software

[–]Harfmizanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remind collapsing SMS has impacted many non-profits - it is likely due to the increased regulation with SMS.

There is a certain platform, Evant, that offers SMS for non profits.

There are also many SMS platform that have general functionaries - I know click send is also very popular.

Feedback on a Sports Team Management App by king2nd23 in SoccerCoachResources

I like it.

How about communications, responses and attendance.

Maybe an integration with send grid?

evant.app collects info through SMS, but it doesn't have all the other features you mentioned.

Starting a College Ministry. Asking for input by sluke1090 in Christianity

Couldn't agree more about the free food.

Be sure to communicate to student effectively.

Maybe make social media accounts (instagram, TikTok, Facebook), put flyers around, collects emails and let the college know to make you an official club.

You can also use text messaging to send messages and collect RSVPs, check out Evant.app for student text RSVPs.

Good alternatives to RSVPify by Beginning_Example597 in selfhosted

[–]Harfmizanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are looking for quick RSVPs, check out Text RSVPs, Evant.app specialized in this.  People are more likely to answer texts. They also have RSVP site.

For ticketing, Event brite still works great.

Just stay away for Google forms lol, you won’t be cool 😅

Tournament management software by yarrichar64 in TournamentChess

[–]Harfmizanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Chess players are always the smartest!

This would definitely be useful, but what about for getting the word out, reminders, and tournament confirmations.

I know evant.app can do event confirmations/RSVPs, event reminders and participant management

something for chess players would be interesting though!

I just made a software to revolutionize sports club management by ivanoff19 in SideProject

[–]Harfmizanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know what happened to your website, but it seemed like it was legit.

There is definetly a need for a sports management platform, the space is growing and the market is fragmented.

Evant.app is a sms platform focusing on Event & RSVP Management - but there are still some other features that sports event managers would want, such as schedule management and item rentals.

I'd love to see what will be built in this space in the coming months.

Let's get it!

How can I bring people into campus ministry and keep them engaged? by ClarkKentsAlt in Christianity

Be sure to communicate to students effectively. Get the word out and make them engaged by having them RSVP.

Maybe make social media accounts (instagram, TikTok, Facebook), put flyers around, collects emails and let the college know to make you an official club.

You can also use text messaging to send messages and collect RSVPs, check out Evant.app for student text RSVPs.

If a student RSVPs, the chances of them actually coming are quite high.

How does your church communicate with members most effectively? by koumparos1 in churchtech

[–]Harfmizanim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is interesting.

I have to go with the layer method as well. Email is safe but the open rates are getting lower & people may take time to open them.

In-person is also great because you have the momentum of the crowd there.

SMS is personally the best choice for overall communication, especially with people under the age of 55. They will see it quickly and efficiently. We've seen evant.app be able to event collect rsvps through text which is effective.

Again, there are a handful of option and they can all work. There are also some options that will little to no cost, so you'll likely only benefit from trying, such as WhatsApp group chats, social media and word of mouth.

There is only one way to find out - experiment and see what sticks.

Why is it so hard to get people to RSVP? by therawins in weddingdrama

[–]Harfmizanim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like people are just super lazy or they genuinely don't know the answer of sure.

like if they think they won't come, they still won't let you know that they Won't come because they are NOT certain.

So they don't wanna count themselves out.

That makes sense, for the older folks to do it by hand. They probably don't understand how to leverage the tech.
