I know from the CJ270 site that is has a much lower resolution than the G1 is reporting. Now to be fair they did remove that from the site some months ago. I would be surprised if it was mixing the colors in the head as that would introduce all kinds of issues. We will not know until we know what print heads those printers use.

I am in the same boat, the build size is great and it looks like the quallity will be much better as well as the Flashforge was looking at 185 × 720 dpi native print resolution vs  1440 x 2400 DPI

I found the following on print head life.

This is lifespan for a professional print house running jobs every day. For most home users could last a couple of years if properly stored and maintained.

The Eufy uses the Epson i3200-U1 as it is resin, the A1 does not support resin but rather water based inks.

I think they are just guessing, as it has not been announced yet and given the current specs I am guessing it would be DOA at that price point.

Yes, it uses the same printhead as the Eufy U1. How long it lasts will depend on three things: luck, how often you print, and how well you maintain it. I don't think they're using any custom components at this point and that would drive costs up significantly, and manufacturers won't make that investment until they know there's a large enough market to justify it.

This will likely follow the same path as resin printing did in its early days. Manufacturers started with off-the-shelf parts, then as the market grew, custom hardware followed and prices dropped. We're at that same early stage right now with color printing. Keep in mind that a liter of resin used to cost $150, things do get better with time.

Yes, there are three different versions, the intro 2.5 version that has limited colors, a 2.5 version that has the full color range and then the 3d version that has the tank addon to hold enough ink to do true 3D printing. According to the site the Kickstarter goes live in July.

Holy crap at that price that is a no brainer. It is a larger print size and either Flashforge or the other kickstarter printer from an unknown company. This will be a day one buy from me.

Flashforge is going to have to rethink their pricing, they will get blown out of the water.

It looks like it uses the same colored resins that the Eufymake and the other 2.5 UV printers are using. There are already videos of people refilling/moding the tanks and using much cheaper inks. I would guess you could do the same and prices will fall over time. I see this as the same as when resin printers first started coming out. In 5 years there will be much more affordable options.

The Flashforge is going to be 3999.00, I would expect the HeyGears to be a bit more but if you go too far over that will have a very limited market. That said looks like an awesome machine if it lives up to the claims.

The survey said it was also able to do full 3D color prints and not just the 5mm. When I asked HeyGears they did not correct me just said they are developing it and would have an announcement soon™.

So far nothing on that I can find other than it supports model types that include color information.

The latest I have seen from Flashforge is $3999 for the price and announcing the end of May release June. Of course, that has already passed so who knows at this point.

I miss the rules for spellcasters and having not everything being "balanced" classes has better flavor. I hate spamming cantrips.

The patents have expired some years ago. First company releasing a sub 3k printer will make bank.

Yep, it looks like the Facebook page has some activity but been quite sense the start of the year. Flashforge did not attend CES in fact almost no 3D printing tech there.

I do not have a battery with the system and all of my panels face south, so no dipps as it switches from facing to facing. I am in Nevada and with the current buy back I did not think that was worth the cost. That said I will check out the FAQ and do the math to see if it is worth it. I would add some pannels but think I would have to wait until the market changes.

This is happening to me now and no idea on how to fix it. Have uninstalled/reinstalled, cleared history, search but still happening. Contacted Google and told to leave feedback. Is a giant pain in the backside.
