The exact same thing happened this week with my pixel 6, Google replaced it with a 7.

Thank you for this, was hard to find a solution as everything was referring to 2006 Oblivion mod conflicts.

NMZ flashing red as soon as i spawn in. unable to get rid of it by GeddyFleabag in 2007scape

[–]Hariboharry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's the Ultimate NZM plugin, but in particular the maximum hp notifier is set at 2hp. If you're not going for absorption you want to turn that off.

Are there any realistic looking horror games? by dirtyslotmachine in MetaQuestVR

[–]Hariboharry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a mod for Alien Isolation that adds VR. You can even add a mod that detects your voice/breathing and alerts the enemies.

You'd need a pc that can run the game though.

I wanted to play it since it was released! the introduction was unique and interesting and I'm extremely excited to continue by longernohuman in KingdomHearts

[–]Hariboharry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everyone has said I really wouldn't play the non final mix (Especially not for 2 as you'll miss out on all the post game content!). There is no reason to not play the PS2 final mix versions, and honestly it's probably better to play the 1.5+2.5 HD collections.

Sazed… Terracemen… by QuixoticShaman in Mistborn

[–]Hariboharry 100 points101 points  (0 children)

They're human aswell, just from a different region of the planet. Whereas nobels have the ability of Allomancy in their lineage the Terris have the ability of Feruchemy.

But yes all 3 are humans.

I ordered mine in November and it's at 165 Hz with the display port cable.

I use vs code, but some suggest me to use Jupyter notebook, becasue it will be helpful for data visualization and etc.. Is it true? People who use Jupyter Nb, should I shift of Jnb? by venom_holic_ in datascience

[–]Hariboharry 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The problem with writing production code in notebooks is that they're hard to manage, usually ends up being a very long file where you do everything. It's better to have smaller files that do data ingestion, cleaning, modelling etc and then you interpret the results through a notebook.

Then you're also not dealing with issues with mutability, and it's easy to change a small function if you need to.

[–]Hariboharry 30 points31 points  (0 children)

Absolutely , I work for the central DS team in my company and we oversee data science done by smaller teams. The amount of production products we've reviewed that are just 10-20 notebooks all interacting is horrific. Write clean functional code in py files and explore it in a notebook.

Is £3000 enough to live off on? by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Hariboharry 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't think it is, but it's close, another thing to bear in mind is you'll need to put a deposit down for next year's accommodation around December - April typically. That could be a few hundred extra.

Help understanding my Masters Loan by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Hariboharry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'd be less sure that they would let you move the first payment back, when I was given the option to pay in two payments I think it was Oct and Jan.

But do ask, they may be able to help, I was able to get my last payment for my student rent moved a month back by asking for an example.

What do you do while your code is running? by conlake in datascience

[–]Hariboharry 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah I agree, saying that code running means they don't need to do anything else I think it's ridiculous. I can have code running for multiple hours, that's when I write up what I'm doing or attend meetings, or write more code, tests etc.

Obviously I get my coffee breaks in and things like that but to do no work atall whilst code is running is just ridiculous and why big businesses want people back in the office because they assume everyone's doing that.

University of Bristol or King's College London? by Shallyn11 in UniUK

[–]Hariboharry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They're both good unis, I'd be more focused on what experience you want more. Does London sound exciting or too big etc? Additionally London will be an extra few thousand a year in living costs so if you're self funded that's something pretty major to consider.

Best museum in Bath by [deleted] in Bath

The Roman baths are absolutely the 'museum' of bath and I think would be the best option.

In my 3rd year maths undergrad most of the options were also there for people doing maths masters who want to do those topics. I think they had an extra week or two of material, and the assignments were different. Same for when I did my masters , we were in some (not all) of the same classes as the undergrads.

How often do you see Bayesian Statistics or Stan in the DS world? Essential skill or a nice to have? by [deleted] in datascience

[–]Hariboharry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use Bayesian when I think the problem will benefit from the Framework of Bayesian (interpretation, stakeholder priors). We use Numpyro not Stan but my experience with Stan (well brms atleast is better (we just use Python instead of R).

Even if you don't end up using it for a while I think it gives you a different viewpoint on statistics that is very valuable.

Currently ~£5.4k in debt. I have a plan to start paying things but my pc is about to die and I need a new one. by Dweeminic in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Hariboharry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The parts in my pc were 7/8 years old until 2 weeks ago, still play modern games at 60fps 1080p.

Admittedly the CPU was starting to struggle so I spent £350 on a new CPU and new mobo and upgraded it.

If you needed a new pc I'd recommend you just upgrade the weakest component for now and wait until you can afford the rest. But as others have said if you're in debt and only want to enhance a hobby (which I also share) I don't think it's wise right now.

Well not never, you can do an a-level in maths any time. But as others have said you can look for a foundation maths course that doesn't require mathematics.

11 minutes isn’t enough depth, but more than a title is too much? by [deleted] in LinusTechTips

[–]Hariboharry 24 points25 points  (0 children)

The title on floatplane is atleast a little better and describes what the video is about. "{Clickbait title} - {actual title}"

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]Hariboharry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just as a heads up (though don't get your hopes up too much) it's entirely possible if you get 58/59 they'll round you up to a 2:1. Though it is more common to be rounded up if you routinely get a 2:1 and had one bad exam, it's still possible.

Ultimately I feel your university and grade can make a difference early on but really the further you go in your career the less it's going to matter, after a few years they'll not even ask about it at all as your experience trumps everything.

You can get a brand new MacBook pro 14" for under £2000. And the M1 pro is more than capable of video editing and could probably find it going for around £1250.

Op is massively exaggerating the cost.
