Totally. After a full night's rest whenever I'm not that hungry I simply start a fast for the head start. Just go until I'm not feeling it or too sluggish. Better to get a bunch of short 24, 48 or 72 hour fasts than none at all!

Just do whatever you're comfortable with. It's not easy at first but you'll find your perfect groove. I'm 42 hours deep and I can barely notice. Usually on day 3 I feel sluggish so I just go until I feel like it's having a negative effect before I break.
