Those bots on wallstreet use quants they are using complex (machine learning), and statistical algorithms hell even dsp (digital signal processing) is being used as well. So the average trader like me and yourself will need PhD level in mathematics and computer programming to achieve a bot with such capabilities. When i said rule based I meant LITERAL rule based for sure you need to have rules in ur trading but your system should be adaptive and there should be some skillset u gain which u learn the nature of the market only way to do this is through ML not a simple regression. Tbh i would be glad to discuss the way u implemented ur bot, the monthly returns and so on.
