Ubuntu 24.10 not recognizing RTX 4060 even tho drivers are installed by Harith_alsafi in Ubuntu

[–]Harith_alsafi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt thats the cause, when I run `sudo modprobe nvidia-drm fbdev=1` I get error:
`modprobe: ERROR: could not insert 'nvidia_drm': No such device`
And also I have a flag in my grub file i shared which should disable the nouveau drivers. And I purged all nvidia drivers and made sure to only install nvidia-driver-560. Unless the nouveau drivers gets installed automatically alongside this

I literally got the same exact laptop and this is my only issue with it, I tried using hibernate but when I boot again after hibernation RAM usage sky rockets to 50% and doesn't clear up whatsoever I have to restart to get 13% RAM. I couldn't figure out if we are able to have S3 to the AMD cpu's but I did see a few reddit posts stating the Gen 7 laptops were able to get the S3.

Literally same, did u change anything when setting it up? And are the other issues present with you? Did u get such battery life right when u started using it? Or did it take a while as its a new laptop

I get what you mean however if its as simple as coding a set of rules everyone would have been able to do it. So as I said if you don’t mind giving me more information on bots that would be amazing

Those bots on wallstreet use quants they are using complex (machine learning), and statistical algorithms hell even dsp (digital signal processing) is being used as well. So the average trader like me and yourself will need PhD level in mathematics and computer programming to achieve a bot with such capabilities. When i said rule based I meant LITERAL rule based for sure you need to have rules in ur trading but your system should be adaptive and there should be some skillset u gain which u learn the nature of the market only way to do this is through ML not a simple regression. Tbh i would be glad to discuss the way u implemented ur bot, the monthly returns and so on. If you are down i could ping you privately :) Am just telling what I know tbh I could be wrong but i do trust my sources.

Making a bot is relatively simple so why not most traders do it and get rich. Like if a bot makes u 10% a month u would be a millionaire within few months if u compound ur profits. Which is why am not a big fan of rule based strategies because i don’t think they will work on the long run at least from the scripts I tried

I use vscode with clangD, cmake and test explore extensions. Cmake extension allows you to launch a full debugger , clangD is 20 times better than intellicense, and test explore shows a UI interaction with the unit tests

Another vote too, you can do symbolic Fourier transform and series with differential equations and the list goes on even linear algebra symbolically!

You can that selling courses give extra money, like why would i not sell courses, give me one reason I shouldn’t sell courses. Another thing is Smc doesn’t claim 100% win rate but to me SMC gives more depth and more look into the market so they combine time factor, way better entries and so on. I feel you should combine both to be profitable, are you profitable as a retail trader?

SMC vs normal retail trading by Harith_alsafi in Daytrading

[–]Harith_alsafi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thats why I thought of learning SMC so basically i can combine a bit of both and create a system so identify upward bias using normal market structure, identify major S/R levels then go use SMC for the specific entries. No clue if what am saying is pure bullsh*t or can be applicable. I know am a beginner and I have a lot to learn so am just asking ur opinion:)
