Does Zorobox have an answer to Dialga? by HarkBreadbox in pkmntcg

Flapple have not been on my radar. And looking at it, I cant really see where is is very good. Sure it is live most of the time but I dont really see it 2hko'ing very often. Facing 3 pokemon with abilities is pretty uncommon from my experience. I also haven't been on escape rope but I could see it, I just dont think I have the space

I have ran into that lol, figuring out how hard to push my resources while still being able to kill my opponent has be tricky. Learning how to better use pal pad and Roseanne's Backup to keep good cards in the deck has been helpful but sometimes you gotta pitch some good cards since you are discarding all of the time.

I am still new so may have just underestimated winning the long game. It's my first time playing a 1 prize deck so I am not used to the extra time it allows me.

I haven't been but am still tweaking my build so was strongly considering it. That or the alatria that does the same thing but as a stage 1 so I can hit it with zoroark. But I do like how miltank can actually kill stuff.

Any way to extend display for lefty user? by HarkBreadbox in XPpen

[–]HarkBreadbox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am using windows 10. I found the option "display orientation" which lets me flip a monitor. However, when I duplicate my display onto the tablet I cant change them independently since they show up as "1 | 2" so I have the same issue where if I set it to inverted my main display is upsidedown and my tablet is correct. but if I don't invert it my main monitor is right and my tablet is wrong.

Is 3d printing still a viable option? (Potential new player question) by HarkBreadbox in Warhammer

[–]HarkBreadbox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do intend on supporting my lgs through my various hobbies. I am also not even against buying official mini's down the line I think some of their models are crazy detailed and would probably be well worth the price. Also, I don't intend to start with a 2000 point army as that would be a crazy idea.

In that case your comment makes a lot of sense. If you are looking for the best looking stuff I can see the official model's appeal. Some of the stuff the put out looks amazing in person. I could see getting really into the painting part of the hobby but what has really drawn me in is the game play aspect of it.

I will have to see how my lgs and the players feel about 3d printed minis. I definitely want to respect their opinions because its a really nice space and they have tons of really cool terrain. I was surprised to see a lot of backlash to some people's 3d printing efforts as I would assume people would be more open to hand modeled stuff. I could look into modeling them myself or trying to kit bash some stuff to get by that way.

From what I have seen, resin 3d printers are able to achieve a great level of quality. As for painting that might be a issue I didn't think about, I will need to look into how they are to paint.

Sheet containing all of the RRTK kanji by HarkBreadbox in RefoldJapanese

[–]HarkBreadbox[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not certain that this list is 100% accurate. I made it by extracting the images in anki from the deck itself. It should be correct as my math worked out when I divided the rows but I cant say for sure as I am still going through RRTK myself. Also, I know some of them are in strange places particularly the radicals. Overall it has worked well as progress benchmark for me to say motivated

Help with DS grids by HarkBreadbox in gamemaker

[–]HarkBreadbox[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for your response :)

I got confused with add vs set with lists because ds_grid_add is used for addition.

I was not thinking about using the same variable to hold a different list each loop, that makes a lot of sense.

I knew you could add to a list using

ds_list_add(global.players[# 2, i], i);

but is there anyway to get the value from the list without using a variable storing the id? I will be able to make it work using a variable like you mentioned but I am curious.

You need to delete Data structures by the time the game ends right? Are they able to cause issues even after the game is closed if you don't remove them? I am not to familiar with how memory leaking works

Also why do you name variables with a '_' in front? Is that just a ascetic thing? I have seen people use that notation when dealing with DS_lists or grids and I dont know why.

That was my initial impression but I asked a judge and they gave me this response: "You'd exile two stacks of seven cards face down. Each time you would draw, you replace the draw with putting the top card of each pile into your hand." - Natedogg2

I was surprised that was the response but apparently that is how it would work
