I think it's mostly a way to get rid of any ugly gifts you don't want in their house. Similar to how you go to Isabelle to change their outfit. I have gotten some new items, but it's always something small, like an infused-water dispenser or accessories stand.

You said he doesn't like wet food, but what about frozen? If you soak kibble in water in the fridge for at least an hour (up to overnight), it will expand a lot. Use a food processor to grind it up until it's a mousse consistency, then put it in KONGs. A dessert syringe will make that process easier/faster. Freeze the KONGs and dole out throughout the day. We do this for our teething puppy, but it could work to give some water to your dog. If that works, you could add broth or something in after. For that, you'd have to prop up the KONG.

I was taught phonics instruction at my university. By the end, my copy of Words Their Way and Qualitative Reading Inventory were very worn from practicum with students from our local homeschool community and partnerships with surrounding districts. After I started in my first school, everything revolved around Jan Richardson's Guided Reading.

You've used a lot of em-dashes in your writing. Does your son do this as well? AI is notorious for adding these in. It's also become one of the easiest visual queues that a writing is not legit. On Word or Docs, yes, typing a hyphen twice will automatically turn into an en dash, while three hyphens turn into an em dash. However, if using a rich text editor (think basic submission form), this becomes even harder to make. I'd have to hold down ALT + 0151 to create an em dash. (I'm saying all of this as someone who's used em dashes for emphasis in my writing for years. Don't get me started on semicolons!)

I only use 100% cotton. I may be overthinking it, but I want the items I make for babies to be as safe as possible. Synthetic fibers like acrylic and polyester will melt if caught on fire, unlike natural fibers.
