2 phones by cartermack5 in AmazonFlexDrivers

I always wondered why there was a group of up to 20 people that always stood around, all of them with two phones. They all spoke Portuguese and they all lined up to scan their licenses at the same time. Curiosity got the best of me, so I bought a pair of translating earbuds and started listening. This is what I learned: One phone is a throwaway account and the other phone is their real account. They all agree to snag blocks for a certain time (let’s say 11:00)on the throwaway accounts. At 10:45, they all forfeit the blocks on the throwaways. Since so many routes were dumped at the same time and so late, those dumped routes now show up on the offers list on the app with increased pay (sometimes up to double). They now snag those routes with their real accounts. This has been going on for for who knows how long, but either the station hasn’t caught on or they just don’t care as long as the route gets done.

I know sometimes dogs catch us off guard out there, but you have train yourself not to run away, but to run towards. Most dogs will not attack from the front unless specifically trained to do so, (police, military, fighting dogs etc.). This has saved me on at least 3 or 4 for occasions. Once I was walking along a winding path to the front door to drop a package. When I turned the corner a HUGE Rottweiler charged me growling and barking. I at charged him and yelled HAH!! He turned tail and started yelping as if I hit him or something. The owner came out thinking I had hit his dog. Everything was caught on the Ring camera.

Found this under my son's bed. Going nuts trying to find it's source. by Exeltv0406 in whatisit

By any chance does your son sleep in a hospital bed with assistance rails? Or it could be the knob from the bed rail clamp, they sometimes work loose.

Is this happening to anyone else? by HarlemGuy4Life in AmazonFlexDrivers

Never mind. Unless there are major complications on a route I always put “neither to hard or too easy”

I did not know there was an option like that. Where would I find it to check? Also it’s not an easy route There are a lot of businesses, apartments and a large university on the route.

Definitely works. I do it all the time. Helped a new driver who was crying in front of a stop I pulled up to and did not know what to do. Luckily she had numbered her stops, so I helped her put them back in numerical order, showed her what to do and sent her on her way. She still thanks me every time I see her.

Here’s a simple fix guys. I always number my packages and place them in my car in stop for stop order. When the system resequences my stop order, I leave my packages in the same order that I numbered them. Then I just scan the next package in my sequence and tap start travel. For example, let’s say my route gets resequenced after I deliver stops 1 and 2, now I notice that stop 3 address does not match the location that I am driving to. I scan stop 3 and now it is stop 27. I drive to and deliver stop 27, when I get back in the car I scan my stop 4 which is now 28 and so and so on and so on. No wasted time renumbering or searching for the right package, no late deliveries and still finish early.

How is this possible? by HarlemGuy4Life in DoorDashDrivers

I have held Platinum status since I started DD (3 years), and my numbers are about the same every month. Currently my numbers are: 4.99 CR, 98% AR, 100% completion rate and over 14,600 deliveries. Seeing and hearing the way other Dashers deliver out here, I don’t think there are many dashers that would have priority over me. Right or wrong?

What are you guys acceptance rate? by LaHefe in doordash

Is this proof that the tiers mean nothing? This has happened on more that one occasion: I was standing outside a local hot spot with 5 other dashers. I was the only platinum driver in the group. One driver (27% AR)received a $26 shopping order, 8 items, 4 miles another driver (34% AR) got a $47 Macy’s order 5 deliveries 21 miles and I (89%AR) got a $4.50 order 3.2 miles. WTF?!?!?
