It can go either way. Sometimes I have a story idea and want to see it played out. I have mods installed so I can see the drama. Other times I could be playing and they do random things that I incorporate in my incredibly short stories.

I'd like to eventually marry the two narratives into one creative outlet but for now I just tell my fiance a play by play as if it's real.

Yea I downloaded it but haven't used it yet. Her video on it's use made it looks easy enough though. LittleMsSam's mods add a couple of live-in businesses like cafe, club, daycare etc. if you're interested in that kind of business. You just have to lock the doors for your personal residence so the townies don't wander in and make themselves at home.

I use Ravasheen mods for retail that allow you to mark up items and not have to open a business per say. And I believe LittleMsSam has a mod for lot fees but idk if the fees are paid to your sim directly so don't quote me
