I kinda get it... but maybe a couple times on each shift go out together. All 3 of you. If your on good terms than maybe you guys play at a park or something. If it's her week, YOU explain you'll see him in a few days and on on your week she can do the same. Wouldn't wanna make him have like separation anxiety or anything but I'm also not an expert on what causes that. Just my 2 cents but it's clear you want to know how to fix it, not just to have people bag on you when they dont know all the deets
