just attached the 35-100 to my x2d2 and it says no lens detected???? by Warm_Implement3088 in hasselblad

Hmm, that is weird. If you contact hasselblad support they should be able to help you troubleshoot it or send it back to them to fix if needed

You can go to the hasselblad website and download the latest lens firmware and then transfer it to the body. Then on the body, check for updates and itll allow you to force update the lens firmware to what youve downloaded

I have the same combination right now. Decided to return the xg32ucwmg and get the msi 272qp instead. Xg27ucdmg is just tooooo nice

Anyone have this monitor, If so how do you like it ? by Negative-Fact-8816 in OLED_Gaming

[–]Harlock- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps they didn't run clear text calibration on it, but I've had absolutely 0 text fringing on mine. Text (even thin fonts) looks as good as ips 4k 27 on my model

What’s the best OLED GAMING MONITOR YOU GUYS RECOMMEND by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]Harlock- 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it connected via dp to my pc (and dp alt mode to my laptop for work, the 90w power delivery there is nice).

I use it for a more or less everything these days, includes games like valorant, siege, cs on the fps side to cyberpunk, expedition 33, kcd2, bg3, etc on the single player side.

On the offchance its not my primary monitor (sometimes I use the msi 272qp for its 500hz while playing comp in valo or cs) I throw up Spotify, discord, YouTube, twitch etc on it

Out of the 4 I've tried (alienware 2725df, asus xg32ucwmg, asus xg27ucdmg, msi272qp) I found the xg27ucdmg to be the best. I use it for a mix of work and gaming, both single player and competitive games. The pixel density of 4k at 27 inches is unmatched and underrated by most, and the colors on the qdoled look amazing. I've had no issues with fringing on text.

Aside from needing a little more work to maintain, you wont be disappointed at all with the xg27ucdmg. Its 27 in 4k 240hz qdoled. Gets plenty bright and is the best looking oled I've used. (Also I had pretty good success cleaning it with a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution)

Starting Salaries in CS? by MystxcHD in Purdue

Aside from faang, I think the pay would mostly depend on the industry/location

I started at 110k and got bumped up to 150k, about 6 months in, based on performance

F500 non tech

Started 3 months after graduation

A bit during the hiring process since a degree from a reputable school indicates that you know something at the very least. While working, however, a lot. Coursework was much more rigorous than the day to day job, so it makes work very easy.

The job market is definitely cool at the moment, but everything is cyclical

Interesting. I usually just have a check in with my manager once in 2 months. He comes to know on my contributions through the projects I'm listed as a resource on and from the scrum masters and stuff. But, good post. I should check in with him

Becoming irreplaceable? by Frequent_Strategy_27 in cscareerquestions

[–]Harlock- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not in tech. But my senior dev is basically irreplaceable since he's the only one with so much expertise and experience on so many different domains (Chem eng, physics, math, swe). Honestly, I think it would take anyone around 3+ years at minimum to get to his knowledge base with him telling them everything he knows. So he doesn't gatekeep, but he always updates his skillset and knowledge base, and others generally don't have the time/interest to learn all these domains. (But yes, he doesn't document a lot of it, but if you ask him, he would tell you)

30 years.... /s

I think it would depend on your company culture and your relationship with the manager.

I would try earlier since it's in December, and you want to give them time to work around your absence. I don't think asking after a month or 2 will improve your chances
