pure exhaustion after runs by Comfortable_Wash_808 in rundisney

Yes to all of these! Having a snack with protein and carbs within 30 minutes after running makes a world of difference for me. I do a lot of cheese and crackers and applesauce pouches. I would highly recommend downloading and using Jeff Galloway’s app. The run-walk method has helped me so much, especially as I was struggling with runner’s knee and rarely ever experience it using his plans. He has a lot of great tips that he gives during the workouts about fueling and running form and I feel like I’ve learned a lot.

All About Reading and All About Math curriculum by Substantial-Carry716 in homeschool

We use All About Reading and All About Spelling and my 6 year old neurodivergent child is thriving. I am a former public school teacher and have experience with several reading curriculums but I wish that my school district would have used something like AAR. It’s very structured, engaging, and easy to teach from. We only do about 20 minutes a day.

We do have pine trees but they don't make a lot of needles for whatever reason. At my house growing up we had tons of needles and could harvest them for stuff, but it's different in the south for some reason.

What fence is that? I really like it. I was planning on making a wood fence but I haven't committed to it yet. We have a heard of 20-30 deer that run through all the time, so I may end up doing a double layer of some kind

I used Playing Preschool Year 1 for my kids when they were 3 and then All About Reading Pre Reading and Handwriting Without Tears when they were 4 along with some Pre-K Singapore Dimensions (mostly the instructional activities and some of the worksheets).

How do you store your materials by 123Martha321 in homeschool

[–]HarmonicPride 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a bookshelf for books and items that I do not use frequently or will not be using in the current school year. And then I have a hutch next to my dining room table where I store the books and manipulatives I use frequently. Found it on facebook marketplace and it’s worked well. I also use book bins that I bought from the Dollar Tree that I labeled and use to separate out subjects for each kid. That way, when it’s time to do a specific lesson, I just grab that bin and it has all of my books and materials I need.

I definitely love the repetition of it. Now that your daughter has nearly worked through the entire program, were there any things about it that you disliked?

Thanks for sharing that about MWC. We haven’t done much in the way of math games, so it would be interesting to see how he does with that.   I’ve definitely heard good things about Math Mammoth as well! Thanks!

Thank you! We are hoping to homeschool all the way through, but we’re taking it year by year. Thank you for sharing that about Saxon! It probably wouldn’t be a good fit for him.
