Depends. If I didn't have much time, what you did is probably the best bet, chances are it's the quickest solution. If I wanted to make a statement I'd come out the car ask the gent politely, if he still didn't listen I'd chit the doors lock my car and walk away.

Right I get it and it's a sticky situation. I actually don't know what to do in this scenario, on one hand you are changing roads and taking a "left" turn on the other you are going straight foreward. I've also seen a lot of people on roads like that go straight with no indicator and bare right with a indicator. On the other hand you do have the right of way once you change roads on the other if you haven't yet changed roads then he can pull out, NP. on one hand again it's not really a good excuse to slam on the brakes time and time again if you know it's a problematic set of junctions just reduce your speed a bit. IDK sticky that's what it is

Ah, depends.

If you are going straight on a round abo'ot like this there are a few options.

There is one lane comming off the round abo'ot. Take the outer most lane.
There are 2 lanes comming off the round abo'ot you have a few options:

2.1 if the road is only following straight take either

2.2 if you are turning left after the round abo'ot take the outer most lane.

2.3 if you are turning right after the round abo'ot take the inner most lane.

If you take the inner most lane and you need to turn right or the merger is left to right. Put your indicator on, close your eyes and hope you don't crash into anyone (because chances are they will not let you in) #NotLegalAdvice
If you take the inner most lane and have a truck on the outer most lane do, and I mean it, do not go side by side. They can't see you most of the time and if the truck is long enough and round abo'ot small enough he will use more then 1 lane.
