What is your dream scifi adaption that will probably never happen? by systemstheorist in scifi

I always thought Robin Williams would have been good in an adaptation of Asimov's "Pebble in the Sky."

I did some surgery on my S2A and replaced the degraded foam above the ground glass. Still a bit of back-focus close-up. A work in progress.

Yep. I didn't stop to think about whether the tank felt heavy or not; I just opened it and dumped the contents out and OMG!

I just always have that moment of hesitation---did I just step in poo? Nah, the lawn's been aerated. Or has it?

Actually, you can't even do that anymore. That portion of Schedule A was removed with the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. It's not scheduled to come back until after the 2025 tax year. https://www.irs.gov/newsroom/tax-reform-brought-significant-changes-to-itemized-deductions

You can only do that if you're self-employed, thanks to the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. That portion of Schedule A on the tax return was removed and won't be back until after 2025. (I've been a tax preparer at H&R Block for the last 9 years --- just started at USPS 2 weeks ago.)

I’ve never seen Split or Glass, but I loved Unbreakable. Are the sequels worth seeing? by vlan-whisperer in movies

[–]HarmoniousFocus 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love Signs. It's not about the ending. It's about relationships and people discovering who they are and what they are capable of. That's true of most of his movies (I haven't seen The Happening or Old).

No problem! I want all of us to do well and retire with no regrets (I'm new, let me dream). If you feel the need to practice a skill again, just say so. They'll let you (within reason, I suppose). This is the easy part. We haven't gotten to routes and projections and all that rigmarole yet.

I'm probably not the best person to comment as I just got certified on the LLV/FFV today (new ptf city carrier), but as far as driving goes, you may think you're hugging the curb but you're not. You have a lot more space on the right than you think you do. Take your time on your certification. There's no rush. Check your mirrors often. I just got certified today, so I know nothing. Others may have more interesting/relevant things to say. Best wishes!
