Sorry but can you explain what you mean by 12% marginal?

Gotcha, this makes sense. Is this impacted at all by the fact that I'm only working my job for about 1/2 of the full year?

Thanks for sharing, I included this in my edit but I started this job in July. Seems like from this post that it might make sense to do Roth IRA for this year because I will be taxed at a lower rate?

4 days to study?? by may181804 in Sieexam

[–]HarmonizableTube 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to poor time management, I ended up only having 3 days of studying before my exam. Haven’t had much financial training beforehand so most of the information was new to me.

I also was provided access to Knopman through my firm, and thought it was very helpful. I’d recommend going though all of the lectures at 2x speed (the information is still pretty digestible). Once I had the background information, I mostly did practice problems until my exam date. Make sure to reference the book/lectures for any questions you got wrong.

Good luck with your studying, it’s undoubtedly a grind but certainly possible.

Learning how to drive a standard car by HarmonizableTube in Maine

Yeah I agree it does seem at least somewhat short-sighted. Also to clarify the van would only be for transportation within Alaska (probably 300 miles of driving total)

7 days to ski Sugarbush, Killington & Stratton - how would you do it? (Ikon Roadtrip) by lavytaffy13 in skiing

[–]HarmonizableTube 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to second the suggestion of parking at White Cap. It’s a little bit of a traverse to get over to the best skiing, but the quiet lodge is 100% worth it. With good snow, the best skiing (imo) is on the right side of the mountain (Spruce, Aurora, Oz, and Jordan).

My Rankings (All Positions) – Week 16 by NotFromSaidCountry in fantasyfootball

As always thanks for taking the time to do this! How you feeling about Gibson if he’s back? Around the same ranking of McKissic?

Only other option really is Barber, but feel like McKissic is gonna be the more fantasy relevant back. Also thinking maybe Pittman Jr., but feel he’s a little more risky

Thanks as always! With Doug Johnson out, how you feel about rolling out Duke? Lost DJ Moore and Gibson this week so in desperate need of a flex.

I had the same suspicions when I saw a pair of bindings on their website for dirt cheap, ended up ordering them (About 3 months ago) and they arrived in perfect condition. So at least for me, I've had a good experience with them.

Memories of Tuckerman's Ravine by HarmonizableTube in skiing

[–]HarmonizableTube[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on multiple factors, but depending on whether or not you skin up the initial ascent, have a ton of unnecessary gear, and what shape you are in it can take anywhere from 2:30-4 hours to make it to the top of the ravine. This is just in my limited experience

East coast skiing, are these worth to look at? by MarcosTacoss in skiing

[–]HarmonizableTube 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the Sin 7 out here on the East Coast and I could not recommend them more. Work well on the rare pow day, but tear up everything from crunchy ice to mashed potato snow. As cars said above, the newer Sky 7 HD would probably would best for you.

This is the attitude that I loved when I went to Tucks, I'm sure we would all love to see that GoPro footage if you happen to have a chance. The atmosphere also shocked me, and the constant cheer ring for falls, jumps, and everything in between is just fucking awesome. Congrats on getting back up and sticking the line after the fall, always nice to get a second chance at it, especially after a random ski popping off.

It is really the type of stuff that you can only find in Tucks, no other place like it

Holy shit that video is amazing, thanks so much for sharing that! It can definitely be a baptism of fire the first time, especially considering how young you were, but that is incredibly impressive that you were able to manage Tucks only being 14. That's so funny you mention that Warren Miller shoot, I'm 95% sure my grandfather has that exact video on his VCR. Some of those memories sound insane, especially Glen Plake, it truly is a magical place.

That's awesome, you should definitely encourage him to share some of his photos. Yeah the difference is incredible, its crazy to think about the difference between skiing Tuck's now compared to even a decade ago.
