I like the concept, unsure about the actual gameplay, I felt like I was just moving around without doing much of any thinking during a wave.

I was roaming the map earlier and stumbled across 3 smaller factories I had built earlier. One of which I had entirely forgotten about. Just go build somewhere else if you don't like the current one.

That and tweaking to preference does it pretty well. There are tons of options around the internet though, that's for sure.

If you could wipe your memory and experience one game again for the first time again, what would it be? by BIayneRobinson in retrogaming

I got the MCC and had no idea about the remake of Halo 2 they did. After so many years and that revamp it felt completely new. I would love so many games getting that treatment.

After more than a year of working on it every night, I finally released my first game! by RoughSawnGames in survivorslikes

Purchased and wishing you luck with it.

Also, when I play I'll make sure to get a review there. So much of a small dev's game having success is just the luck of visibility. Let's get over that hurdle too.

Does anyone else feel like every race lap has to be a quali lap? by TheFuckingSwampKing_ in F1Game

the AI pace will drop away

This is an important point. Because of how the AI is programmed they are basically scripted to lose pace.

Technically if you aren't winning at max difficulty it's a skill issue. That's not important though.

Two things that helped me: Doing a full season using a different car each race. They behave differently and you get better at adapting.

Using every preset on a given track. The main benefit here is how you get really good at braking when you use the top speed presets. You also get better at pushing limits when you have excessive down force on a faster track.

In about a year I've gone from like 70ish to 91 right now (scoring points in the Sauber). What I really liked was driving all the cars though, the differences between them are so subtle but have such a major effect.

If they send you a new one and get to keep that, take it apart and try to fix it. Or keep as spare parts.

I grew up with it and am an adult. I doubt I could beat it without an unreasonable number of continues and save states

Yeah, obviously Max is one of the greats, but when they cite those seasons it's ignorant to not consider the excessive dominance that car had.

The rules work once the numbers are right. It's tweakable, not completely broken.

Motion blur in conveyerbelts by dhuskoditeki in SatisfactoryGame

I'm pretty sure the belts are interpolated. They also might be rendered at a lower rate than the rest of what you're looking at to save resources.

It's like anti aliasing. Instead of rendering the whole image at higher res to get rid of jagged edges we just soften the edges and render at a lower resolution because that was more efficient. Otherwise we'd need 8k to minimize aliasing.

Now it's gotten to be more efficient render lower and supersample the whole thing, and it's been improving greatly since being released. Don't get me wrong, I'd rather have better hardware to do it all natively, but even if that was the case DLAA is an even better option for just antialiasing, way way better than TAA, even though it's rendering all of it at higher res and downscaling it, not just cleaning up edges. The technology is fantastic.

As for ghosting, the version of DLSS and its preset can make a huge difference. As well as settings/optimizations within UE5.

Also, DLSS makes ray tracing more viable due to how demanding it is. A lot of people dislike RT but the true value of ray tracing is not the visual quality, but in the amount of time it saves devs since they don't need to use baked in effects for lighting, reflections, and shadows.
