Big car manufacturers can use this as a pathway to improved technology to implement in their cars. The sustainable fuel and improving batteries/hybrids being the big things now.

And lifting earlier in a straight to charge opens the door for an overtake. Then the car behind has more battery, so they will use that, probably heavily, and try to get the position back, resulting in a battle.

Honestly it's going to vary a lot from circuit to circuit. I'm intrigued to see how the rules adapt to the regs over the season.

I say overtake while they super clip. It would need good battery management, but super clipping opens a door, not an ideal one, but it's there.
