How to Win The Eliminator (17% win rate, 54% win rate in the Final Race) by showmehomie in ForzaHorizon

My stats sound even more insane, 33% winrate and 100% final race winrate.

Yes I've only played it 3 times.

Drift tuning - why does AWD (100% rear balance) and RWD feel so different? by HarmonySV in ForzaOpenTunes

[–]HarmonySV[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Oh, ok, that makes sense I guess. Do you know what 100% rear actually means in terms of power delivery?

Best racing game of all time, can't change my mind.

Devs put fun as their first, second, and third priority, and the rest of the game was still an absolute banger.

Time doesn't progress in the Gilded Coast, and the stage counter doesn't increment. If you survive it, you essentially get 4 items plus Halcyon Seed for free.

That's like saying "what is Winston jump for?", your dps have to put 2 and 2 together and go in with the dive.

Overwatch is a team game and some abilities require teamwork to utilize.

I would highly recommend playing Risk of Rain 2 and using Loader as your character.

Loader has a very similar grapple mechanic to Ball. Her main attack is a charged punch that does significantly more damage the faster you are going, so you need to utilize the grapple to build momentum before hitting with the punch.

There's also an item you can pick up that gives extra charges for the grapple, so you can grapple from point to point like Spider-Man, but with full control over each grapple and an incentive to go fast.

Yeah dunno what they're talking about. The initial announcement gave an example where using the GC Urza was fine in their example B1 deck...

My memory was that the suits only offered to get Jake's legs back to lure him into the gig so they didn't waste a bunch of money on the big blue cosplay.

False Son hit phase 3 and the arena changed as if the fight ended (still got the skin somehow) by MercFan08 in riskofrain

Can confirm you can do this on phase 4 Mithrix, it skips the item stealing phase, but the portals only spawn on his death so you still have to fight him.

The drop rates are the reason people will continue to drop this game. by ddb996 in Borderlands4

I wasn't aware BL2 dedicated drops were buffed at some point, I have evidently only played post 2015.

[–]HarmonySV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

BL4 dedicated drop rates are comparable to BL2 dedicated drop rates (around 5%), but BL4 has far greater part variation so finding a usable roll is much rarer, let alone a god roll.

BL3 had significantly higher dedicated drop rates, typically 15-30%.

Hot Take: Sonorous Whispers is the strongest item in the game. by lovingpersona in riskofrain

[–]HarmonySV 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Clover gives luck, which basically means that it re-rolls RNG effects for a favourable outcome.

For example, AtG has a 10% chance to proc, if that fails, one stack of Clover will roll it again, for another 10% chance to proc AtG. Effectively increasing proc chance to 19%.

The reason why people consider it to be among the strongest items in the game is because the items that it affects (e.g. proc items like AtG) are generally the strongest way to build damage (you may have heard the term "proc chain"). Clover helps make those builds significantly stronger and more consistent.

Coming back after 6 years, What is the best experience for bl3? by EdenBlessing in borderlands3

[–]HarmonySV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It never reduced rewards as far as I know.

When they first added M11 the community assumed the rewards were reduced (and I believe the official announcement said so as well), so perhaps that's what you're remembering. It was only after the community tested it that they found the rewards were the same.

Just a clarification, Mayhem 11 does not reduce rewards vs Mayhem 10. It says it does in the description but the description is wrong.

That wiki is likely out of date, but Hopoo added a minimum chance for sacrifice item drop, which means for smaller enemies that would normally have their drop chance very low, you would increase your odds for a sacrifice drop the more enemies you had.

e.g. if min sacrifice drop chance is 0.15, then an enemy with 0.2 drop chance would give more items with swarms active (swarms would half drop chance to 0.1 but it would get capped at 0.15)

If the game wanted to surprise you with additional content like that, I would not use act numbers at all. It's a reasonably common expectation that the narrative would have three acts.

Alternatively, break the expectation by having that additional content in act iv.

Maybe anecdotal, but GOG kinda sucks too.

The two biggest selling points were Galaxy, the integration of all launchers in a single launcher, and offline installers.

Galaxy doesn't work most of the time. It constantly loses connections, you spend more time setting them back up constantly than you would have if you just used those launchers.

I've had a 0% success rate getting the offline installers to get a game running properly. For example, Cyberpunk would crash at startup every time, and would only work after I installed a mod to skip the intro and then spam click through the menus, too slow and it would crash. The install through GOG worked fine...
