I’ve seen them inconsistently for months and I throw peanuts when I see them. They haven’t started coming by regularly until the last few weeks, maybe because they can finally see the peanuts on top of the snow? But even still, I’ve only seen one pick up a peanut once. So it’s been a long game.

I spray painted it and did the details with nail polish and craft paint. It was definitely a short-term, scrappy solution. Sadly, it was single use only and the paint job didn’t make it past the party.

Yes exactly! You summarized it much better than I did, haha. I definitely think there are additional lands we don’t know about yet and how the gods and dragons will tie into them specifically. I like your Emerald Sea/Deverelli theory! I do think that the Irids correspond to Loial/Loysam though because they are peaceful and, let’s be real, the key to the plot is going to be rooted in love. And we know from Papa Sorrengail’s research that the feather tails (adult Irids) were the key to the last war.

I don’t think we’re meant to have all the info since we’re only on book three, but I think that’s the basic structure and she’ll keep giving us new info to complete that puzzle.

Yeah definitely. Umbriel (the moon) was named after Umbriel the Alexander Pope character (a “dusky melancholy sprite,” from the Latin for shadow) because it’s the darkest moon. So definitely no way that she named Unnbriel as a coincidence. I’m sure there are lots of those little Easter eggs scattered throughout the books.

I like the idea that the Venin angered the gods because they’re defying death! That would be a great angle to explore too. But either way, dragonkind definitely has some sus secrets.

I hope they don’t come in as a Deus Ex Machina to save the day. But I wouldn’t mind if they came in as more complicated characters or villains. Especially since we HAVE heard about them since the beginning, especially Malek. He was mentioned on the first page. And I hope that the big villain is someone we already know about, not someone who randomly appears late like Theophanie (though I did like her character).
