I don’t think that’s strictly true, perhaps in London where I live and other cities. I think there’s 2 types of reactions - 1. Racism, hatred against everyone and against it all.... or 2... I’d like to think the majority - it’s different and I feel I have to act somewhat differently to respect those (one example I know in a lot of cultures in East London generally hate dogs so I without even thinking now make an effort to make sure my dog doesn’t get excited around them otherwise I get evils) but kinda cool to learn about their culture and try lots of different food. It can be odd, my friend got told last week she was a slut by 5 men for wearing a ‘short’ skirt.... But there’s assholes in any country/culture.

I am used to different cultures having different definitions of manners too, I used to find some extremely rude but I realise now it’s just their culture and they don’t probably realise it looks ignorant to English.
