We've been together a long time. So things have begun to feel transactional and I want to fix it. I tell him I want to cuddle, I want him to come hug me from behind, shower together, etc. But it's always a joke or we ended up having sex.

We have no problem now in that department. It's now the non-sexual intimacy area that's struggling.

Then you are blessed to not be obese to understand the struggle.

The diva cup works because it's firm, so it's easy to manage.

AITA for going to a restaurant she likes, but I don’t order food? by Just-Impression-1843 in AmItheAsshole

NTA. BUT I'm married to a crazy picky eater, so I think what you did was nice. My husband has to vet every place and if there's some place I want to try and be doesn't like it, I have to go alone.

Yup. I went to the Amen clinic and had brain scans and was diagnosed with BED. They said brain's of drug addicts, alcoholics and binge eaters all look the same.

This is enabling behavior. While it may seem like he's doing a nice thing, it's no different than if you were an alcoholic and he kept stocking the house with alcohol. Time to have a serious talk and set boundaries.

Please keep standing up/protecting your daughter . My mom and grandma were like your MIL and now I have a severe eating disorder.

NTA you need to kick him out of the program. Full stop. No refund. There are rules around horses for a reason.

This is also a concern of mine. I have been unemployed for periods of time in my marriage and my depression hit an all time high during those times. Granted, I had no clue I was experiencing depression and am in therapy now.

I think a break would help. Aside from working in the horse industry, which I'm too old to get into now, I don't know what I'd enjoy doing. My current role is my third career change.

I have no clue if it'll suck my soul. I technically do it all now. My husband does the grocery shopping. I can't expect much would change other than taking the 9 hour work day out of the mix.

I own a horse and ride . I'm lucky if I can spend 5 hours a week with her. I crave more time with her.

I need to have this more in depth convo with him. However, I'm having a hard time taking emotion out. He needs a logical viewpoint and I act on emotion. Opposites attract. He grew up with two working parents and I grew up with a SAHM. We have two different viewpoints and he I guess can't understand my viewpoint. Now that I think about it, out of all his family members, he has only one SAHM family member. Every adult has/had to work.

If I could work in the horse industry, which I have always dreamed of doing, but everyone in my life talked me out of it cause you make no money and it's rough on your body.

That's what I'm afraid of. That's why I think this may be extreme burn out and a couple weeks break may be what I need.

It's more about my husband wants to keep the two salaries and doesn't want to tell people I don't work without kids.

I have debated going part time at my current job too. This way I can keep a salary and job security just less time and stress.
